"Right now" it's a so-called city hotel, so don't get your hopes up about the Hoshino Resorts name.
It was originally called Hotel Nikko Asahi, and it seems to have been taken over from the Nikko Hotel, and it seems that JAL flight attendants and captains also use it.
The facilities are normal, but the hotel staff made their best efforts when I was in trouble. Of course, there are things they can't do, but for example, when I asked them about forgetting my makeup remover, they brought me a sample, and when I asked them about the water that was sold out in the vending machine, they bought me some from a vending machine in the back that seems to be for employees. I was happy with their consideration.
The room is normal now, but they are scheduled to undergo renovation work in the winter of 2023 and reopen in the spring of 2024, so I'm looking forward to it.

Even though it was a hotel, there was a large public bath and I was able to enjoy it comfortably. The breakfast and ingredients were very good and delicious.
So,
I was planning to leave feeling good, but when I was told that the parking fee was 1,000 yen, I was a little surprised. "Wait, they charge for parking here!" I thought. I guess it's a hotel after all. Shouldn't it be free for guests?

Using the tram, I was able to easily go sightseeing in Kochi city. Being able to borrow bicycles was great. The staff were very friendly and I'm glad I chose Hoshino Resorts. I'm looking forward to seeing the hotel after it's renovated.
