Aaron's Homestay

Conveniently located in the centre of Fort Kochi, this homestay is tucked away from the main roads and is therefore very quiet. The rooms are very clean and furnished very tastefully, with all the comforts you would expect, including AC and hot water. The host, Johnson, is a very helpful guy. Highly recommended.

You couldn’t want for a better Homestay. Great location, a kind, super helpful and friendly family. Rooms are spotlessly clean. Lovely rooftop terrace where you can chill. Small but practical and useful kitchen for guests. Food and great activities like the Kathakali dance centre a 4 min walk away. Johnson, the owner & host, couldn’t have made me, and all the guests there more welcome. Highly recommend.

We chose Aaron's Homestay because our daughters stayed there last year and recommended it. Our room was spotlessly clean and the air-conditioning worked very well. The hot water in the shower was very hot - not the usual lukewarm water you often find in India. Johnson was extremely hospitable and helpful throughout our 3-day stay and even saw us off at 5:45 in the morning on our last day. Don't be put off by the small trash-littered lane that leads to Aaron's Homestay (a usual sight in this country): once you arrive at the house, you'll find a small oasis of cleanliness and tranquility (it's located a short distance from a not-too-busy road). Fort Kochi's sights, shops and eateries were within walking distance or a short tuck-tuck ride away. Only room for improvement: it would have been nice to have a working light above the bathroom sink for makeup and shaving.

Johnson is an incredibly accommodating, friendly host who could not do enough for us. The room had air con, power and hot water throughout our stay, which hasn't always been the case everywhere we've stayed in India. The location is also close to the town centre.

We booked this place for four nights considering the reviews given . However , we had to book some other place since we didn’t find the place comfortable. Your sleep is disrupted by mosquitoes and the bed is also not comfortable. Also, the pictures shown on the website are taken on a wide angle and are a little misleading .

The family is very welcoming. We were invited for a delicious Christmas lunch. The owner took care of finding suitable neighbors for our shared apartment. The location is well placed and far from the noisy street. We had an awesome week there!

What a find Aaron's Home Stay was. I booked for a week and stayed for two. Close to the main attractions and hustle and bustle but far enough away to forget about it in the evenings. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Johnson and his family are wonderful hosts - hospitable, warm and welcoming. I was treated like a friend rather than a guest and really enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended.

Aaron's Homestay was exceptional. It was the cleanest and most well maintained accommodation I have had during the six weeks I have spent in Kerala. The room wasn't large but it was really comfortable and the A/C and hot water was very welcome and made the room very good value. I also appreciated being able to do my washing and hang it out on lines on the very sunny roof. I thought I would also appreciate the kitchen but, in fact there were such lovely cafes in Fort Kochi that I didn't cook at all. In addition, Johnson is genuinely lovely and very helpful, without trying to sell anything.

While I was in Fort Kochi, I didn't expect to meet so ***y nice people in this family-run hotel... I guess it was fate that brought me here. Don't hesitate for a second and come and discover the place for yourself. You'll be warmly welcomed by Johnson and his family, who are extremely kind and forward-thinking. The multi-storey house is magnificent, well located, filled with superb plants, the rooms are very comfortable and the roof-top perfect for relaxing, doing yoga or admiring the sunset through the palm trees while swinging in a hanging chair... You might be able to find the equivalent elsewhere, but it's harder to find the heart and soul that inhabit this house. Thanks again to the whole family!
