The staff was very friendly and helpful, just as you would expect in Thailand. The service in the restaurant was perfect. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with American and Thai options, so there was something for everyone. The complex has a very large pool. I can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience.

This hotel brought great memories to our trip to Koh Samui. The design of the hotel is beautiful and elegant, and there is a super large bath in the room. The garden has a pleasant view and an infinity swimming pool. It has its own beach and is perfect for watching the sunset. Breakfast is very rich. Five points of praise!

When checking in you couldn't find our booking. We were very bored because Mai Samui didn't have the booking system under control. After 30 minutes we were told that you couldn't find our booking. It doesn't work at all. Then we got a free upgrade. Since no suite with pool access was available. So we got a villa with a pool. Maybe it was an upgrade but the villa was terribly dark, completely outdated and the whole hotel complex was generally unkempt. The staff wasn't friendly. I've stayed in some hostels where the quality was much higher. Worst hotel ever. The mattress has most likely never been changed since the resort began. The material is ugly. It was just disgusting to sleep in a dark room with lots of insects. The beach is not suitable for swimming at all and the water in the general pool was green. Luckily we got an upgrade and our own pool. Half of the pool/outdoor shower/wellness area also didn't work. Without a scooter or taxi you are completely cut off from the outside world. Food is not good at all, there were fruit flies everywhere at breakfast. So we always had to flee to a restaurant far away. Absolutely not worth 5 stars, maybe worth 1 star. We then changed to another hotel on Koh Samui. Save your money and don't go there
