Lipa Bay Resort

Nice hotel with a nice swimming pool. The room is actually an all-wood bungalow. Very well equipped with a very large bathroom (bathtub, indoor shower and outdoor shower) Air conditioning in the bedroom only. The only problem is that the bungalow is not soundproofed and you can hear guests talking about the neighboring bungalow. The hotel is not located in a very busy area so it is better to be motorized. A few restaurants around but the road is dark in the evening for walking. Basic breakfast.

A bit far from everything, you should be mobile. The room is very simply furnished. The garden is beautiful. The staff, with the exception of one lady, is bored and doesn't care about the guests at all. They hang in their desk chairs behind the reception and hardly move. The staff at breakfast even tops this off, not only are they not friendly, I found them to be friendly. The breakfast itself must be chosen very sparingly; no more is allowed. I don't recommend it and I certainly won't go there again.

The hotel is located right on the seafront. There are private cottages and larger main houses with spacious rooms. Plus the bathtub in the bathroom. The small but beautiful swimming pool is right by the sea. On the beach or by the pool, you can see a beautiful sunset. The Thai bed is very sturdy, which is a small disadvantage. And the hotel is not up to date anymore.

Bien impeccable beau cadre malheureusement pas de restaurant du soir. Le dejeuner n'est pas tres copieux... La plage est très belle et très nature. Le personnel pas toujours efficace. Quelques nuisances également.

Quelques nuisances des femmes de ménages avec des draps déchirés sur les lits refaits...laisse à désirer.. Bon cadre et des beaux lodges avec une belle plage! Nous avons trouvé également le petit dejeuner un peu cher.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. In several hundred hotels so far. According to the booking platform, there is English-speaking staff in this hotel. But what is probably meant is English-language technology. Even the request at the reception to call me a taxi was only successful using Google Translator. According to the receptionist, my bungalow was ready when I arrived (two hours after the earliest possible check-in). In fact, the bed was freshly made and the trash cans were emptied. Otherwise there were still numerous traces of the previous resident. The ceiling light in my bungalow couldn't be turned off. Even though there were at least two bungalows of equal quality available, I was not allowed to move. I should wait for the electrician, he'll probably come sometime soon. Cheers to the sleep mask I got on the Thai Airways flight. The air conditioning just manages to keep the temperature in the bedroom about 2 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. At least there is a light in the bathroom. Above the shower, but not above the sink. You get a mini bottle of shampoo. That should probably be enough for a week's stay. There is no shower gel or soap. Free internet access is generally available. The WiFi is extremely slow (less than 1 Mbps on average) and very unstable. So basically unusable. It would be possible to place a notebook on the tiny “desk”, but it wouldn’t make much sense because there is no chair. The hotel is somewhere in the middle of nowhere. That explains the completely inflated prices: massages and other care cost significantly more than usual in the area, sometimes up to three times as much. The prices in the restaurant do not correspond in any way to the quality offered. For the laundry service you should pay about five times the local average. The pool is advertised as an infinity pool, but it is not. There is no ladder to get into the pool. There are steps, but using them is life-threatening: they are slanted and there is no handrail. There are cushions for the sun loungers, but these are not put on. Parasols are available but are not set up. The beach is not cleaned, although the surf washes up a lot of rubbish. Access is only possible via very steep steps that look like they are ready for demolition.
