Takaraya Ryokan

The boss is very welcoming and the meals are rich and delicious. Although the facilities are older, they are clean.

I wanted to stay at an old traditional ryokan, and this is the best ryokan. The kindness of the owner, the delicious kaiseki meal, the smooth and soft hot spring water, and the quiet hot spring village were all great. I rented a car from Hakata Station in Fukuoka, but had to drive a long distance, so I took off one star because of the location. I want to go again if it’s close~~ And the ryokan gives you a medal that you can use when using the outside hot springs, and it costs 150 yen per person. If you want to go to several outside hot springs, get a medal from the ryokan. If you want to go to the outside hot springs (Utase Onsen) personally, it costs 400 yen per person.

In order to climb the mountain and stay in Sujiyu Hot Spring, the whole hot spring town was a little deserted. Takalaya Hotel is an old-fashioned hot spring hotel, old but clean and tidy. The breakfast and dinner are very delicious, and the public bath is comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no toilet in the room, but the shared toilet is very clean. The hotel does not have a parking lot, and guests who drive must park in the public parking lot. There is a famous "UTASE large bath" next to the hotel, and there are 3 free public baths nearby. The boss is a nice person and tries his best to explain and introduce various facilities and meals through a translator. Overall, the hotel is worth recommending.

Although the facilities are a bit old and there is no bathroom in the room; the host of the hotel is warm and welcoming, attentive to the needs of the guests, and tries his best to communicate with us through phone translation. The food is delicious, and he is especially caring for children, making people feel like they are at home!
