Akti Beach Club

I know I am writing this review late but I have to express such a good time we had in this resort. We booked with Jet2 and our flight arrived late. We arrived at the hotel around 1-2am. The receptionist was very friendly and we were kindly shown to our room. After a 4 hour flight we were very hungry. The snack bar was open in the restaurant which was very handy for us. There was a chef making pancakes and omelettes which were very nice, alcohol and sodas on tap and nice bits and bobs. This is such a nice feature which the hotel has got perfect. Pool areas and facilities- There are 2 main pools at the resort and other scattered pools which are connected to rooms. We found that the animation pool was too busy so we opted to stay by the main pool. This was right next to our room and it was also next to the bar and main restaurant/reception area. The lifeguard manning the main pool area is very friendly and enthusiastic. This made our stay more friendly and enjoyable. The pool area itself is very clean and toilets are very near by. The animation pool is aimed more for families with children and wasn't really for us but the animation team itself are very good. They are very friendly, encouraging and inclusive to everyone. There is a snack bar by the animation pool which serves stuff like pizza, chicken and chips etc. There is two tennis courts and a football pitch. Both are in very good condition. There is a basketball court in the hotel next door (akti palace) which is connected and with me playing basketball, it was a great facility. Food- The food in the hotel is served to very high quality. It often changes every night and there is a great variety. They serve regular all inclusive food which is very nice and they also have a Chinese stand. This was a very nice feature. The drinks are on tap which we prefer as it gives you a sense of independence. Overall, I personally think that the food made our trip and we looked forward to it every time we went. All staff members were very polite and friendly but a special mention to one of the waitress Alba who was very friendly and helpful. Beach- The hotel is connected to a beach. All you have to do is cross the road. The beach has sun loungers and a boardwalk which is an nice addition to the hotel. It also gave us the feeling that we weren't trapped within a resort for a week. There is a shop near the beach which includes stuff like suncream and water toys for the pool. Kardamena is a bit of a walk away but the hotel provides a free shuttle buss. Rooms- The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. There was a nice air conditioning unit which helped us stay cool during the night. The bathroom door's lock was a bit temperamental but it still worked. Each room has a balcony and chairs which makes it a nice place to sit at night and talk or even play a game of cards. The cleaning crew are very polite and hard working. They are very helpful too. Got home Thursday after a week here with my hubby and another couple. We were in the adults only section but found it a little quiet around the pool so spent most of our days at the animation pool. The animation team were fantastic and there were activities all through the day inc aqua Zumba, darts, archery amongst other things! There was another pool at the other side of reception which we didn’t use but looked just as good as the others. Food and drink was great, really varied and something for everyone! The Chinese station was fab! A big shout out to Ellen who made fresh omelettes at breakfast and at 2am in the morning if you wanted one! She was lovely. All of the bars were great with a good selection of drinks and spirits. The baileys iced coffees at the adult only bar were beautiful, and Maria and the other young lady who worked in the adult bar were always friendly and smiling and remembered our drinks every visit! The hotel room was cleaned daily and towels changed daily! The room was good I just didn’t understand why we had an extra single bed in there and think maybe a sofa would have been more suitable but other than that it was a lovely room with a balcony , fridge and air conditioning. On arrival in the room we got a bottle of red wine and a plate of fresh fruit. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi and a free bus into kardamena centre several times throughout the day and evening. You could get free beach towels at reception too. The private section of beach had loads of sun loungers and walkways into the sea as it was a little rocky but that was fine! The sea was so clear and the beach very clean. At the water sports hut you could have free use of both pedaloes and kayaks. This is the first time I’ve visited Greece and it was fantastic. We liked the hotel so much that we booked to go back again next year whilst sat round the pool! Highly recommend the place to anyone wanting to go to Kos!

Aktis staff are Brill But we found its too big and very busy. Restaurant we had to q most day. Good family holiday though. Went there twice. Food was ok. They had loads of puddings. And Chinese too. Which was ok Pools were ok. Family one was better. Main one. Too deep for families

We stayed at the coast in September, really very good hotel with friendly staff who do everything for you to have a nice holiday. We stayed at 229 for 7 days and we were close to the bar where Yiannis and Christos stole the show from all the staff but I will give my thanks to the tall Yanni who remembered our drinks from outside. We gave him a €100 tip and he told us that he won't accept it if he doesn't share it with the rest of the staff. A man who worked long hours moved us with this gesture. We will see you next year as well

During our 10 day holiday stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be rather underwhelming. The bathroom, in particular, left much to be desired with discoloured baths, worn fittings, and a scratched bath that could use an upgrade. Also no full size mirror in the bedroom, which is also a considered must for outfit checks and dressings. Outside our room, a bird's nest with a pizza box catching droppings wasn't the most pleasant sight ( this was not removed or cleaned once during our stay). The customer service at the front desk was average, and poolside activities were limited. Water sports on the beach were overpriced, bordering on eye-watering. Additionally, for those with lactose intolerance, the absence of oat milk and the separation of soy milk when poured was disappointing! No coffee machines meant flagging down staff for each cup, which became an inconvenience, and not often HOT. While the hotel might be suitable for those on a budget, a refurbishment is essential, and, until then, I wouldn't consider returning. Attention to detail is the missing part!

Lovely hotel, really good service and always nice and clean throughout. Great selection of food, our son was particularly fond of the fresh pizzas and the pancakes! The staff during food service are really proactive, cleaning and taking away dishes, the place is very clean. The kids club was great, every night a different entertainment. The only criticism is that its outdoors, so if it was a bit windy or chilly, you'd want to be heading indoors! Our room was nice and clean, bit far from the main reception, but had its own pool with the others in the same block. Beach was lovely and close, always good selection and availability of sunloungers, as with the pool as well. The waterports were good and free also for the catermaran. All in all, worth a visit. Would go again!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in May 2023. It was a beautiful, clean and modern feeling hotel. We originally intended to stay in the adults-only areas however the animation team provided a great ambience during the daytime we ended up spending most of our time at the hotel by the animation pool. The food was enjoyable and the main food provided enough variety every night, however, I will say that the desserts section tended to be much of the same every night. The only complaint about this hotel would be regarding the evening entertainment, I'm not sure if it's because we came in early May but we found this to be lacking. We enjoyed a music quiz one night but that was about it. This is the only area I would say needed improvement, otherwise everything else was amazing!

Family of 3, came here middle of October, great weather for this time of year, pools bit cold but enjoyed swimming in a sea, clear ,warm water, lots of small fishes in, so beautiful and enjoyable ,lots of sunbeds to choose, 20 min free kayaks or water bike included in all inc hotel. Food was good lots of too choose from, bonus for Chinese cousin, sushi bar and fresh omelettes made by very friendly lady. Drinks hmm beer and wine on draft, cocktails were a no no, straight from a bottle, other alcoholic drinks made to and order like they should, Thanks to Kostas, bartender around one of rhe pools ,very positive person, always had time to chat for a bit with customers Kids club I think those guys were incredible, working hard from early mornings ,making fun with not just the little ones, my child had great time and didn't want to leave, big shout out to Neus, Kevin and Dani for what they been doing and hard work. Rooms were clean and spacious, towels changed daily, friendly cleaners. Hotel looks spot on, clean with little shop on side, free bus to town running every hour. Greece you haven't let me down, it was a pleasure, love people, cousine and everything about it. So yeah really recommend this hotel
