Seaside Marmari ★★★★

📍 Marmari Marmari, Kos

"Firstly, the hotel, lovely hotel in a utopian location, right on the sea shore. Rooms are spotless and have soft comfortable beds; though more cloth hangers would be appreciated. Staff are lovely and always with a smile, especially DJ Vaggelis with his Italian music repertoire!!! I would definitely recommend a trip into the town, whilst other areas to visit are easily accessible by bus, which are very reasonably priced and punctual. Our reservation included breakfast only, as we like to visit different outlets to try the local cuisine - nonetheless, for lunch we tried the hotel's snacks and were delightfully tasty. We were sad to leave such a charming place and hope to return in the future."

Apollon Windmill Boutique Hotel - Adults Only ★★★★

📍 Main Street, Lampi area, Kos

"Amazing stay at Apollon Windmill. Perfect for a relaxing couples holiday, sun loungers always available (no morning rush), rooms and bathrooms are modern and cleaned daily, breakfast is fine, no issues, staff are all very friendly, perfect location, restaurants nearby are great (Istros Greek Restaurant was amazing), Kos town is within walking distance but renting a bike was the best travel option. Alibaba beach bar was also great, free loungers all day! Overall a perfect holiday at Apollon Windmill."

Alexandra Hotel&Apartments

Alexandra Hotel&Apartments ★★★★

📍 16, 25th Martiou Str, Kos

"This accommodation is an excellent choice, located right in the city center with easy access to everything. The bed is comfortable, and if you book a room with a balcony, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of both the city and the sea. The staff are kind and very accommodating, making the stay even more pleasant. The breakfast is satisfying, offering a good English breakfast. Rooms are clean with a strong shower, even on the fourth floor, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The place also embraces sustainability, providing basic but pleasant-smelling toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. Overall, it’s a fantastic stay — I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to others."

Zephyros Hotel
7.7 (19 reviews)

Zephyros Hotel ★★★

📍 34, Vas. Georgiou str, Kos

"I have stayed in many hotels, but I have never experienced such disappointing and cold customer service as at Zephyros in Kos. I am not writing this review lightly – it stems from pure frustration and disbelief at how little effort the staff made at a time when I really needed help. Due to an emergency, I had to cut my trip short. I didn't even ask for a full refund – just partial compensation for the nights I could no longer stay. A little understanding can mean so much, right? But not here. The only thing I got was a blunt “it’s in the terms and conditions.” No flexibility, no empathy, not even an attempt to think along with me. A phone call to the owner? A message to the manager? Something? Nothing. And at that point, it was no longer about money. It was about principle. If someone is in a difficult situation and you politely ask for help, you expect at least a little humanity. But I felt absolutely none of that here. As for the rest of the hotel: fine in itself, but nothing special. You really have to walk quite a distance to the center, or rent a bike – which quickly adds up in terms of costs. The rooms are okay, but the bathroom is really small and not exactly clean. You can barely turn around without bumping into something. The beds are old and low to the ground, making them far from comfortable to sleep on. But honestly? I could have accepted all of that if the customer service had been good. Hospitality isn't just about a place to sleep – it's about how you are treated when something goes wrong. And in that regard, Zephyros Hotel has completely failed. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for genuine service or a place where they still truly care about their guests. Do better. P.S. 1 power outlet for 2 people is bizarre…"

"The food was awful. We were given an upgrade(wrong phrase) to half board. The breakfast was greasy cold and not appetising . The dinner at night was cold even the dishes that had just been put out were cold. The dining room although clean was soulless I thought I was eating in a canteen . I did see 2 cockroaches and people had allegedly seen mice in the bar. We ate out in Kos town 3 nights . as the food was so bad . I realise it is the end of the season but the sun beds and mattresses around the pool were broken and dirty. Very disappointing . The staff on the whole were unfriendly and did not seem to care . The entertainment was below average and was cancelled on 2 nights . The Greek dancing was good and fun. Rooms overall were clean and a decent size . Will not be returning"

"My wife and I stayed from 10/29 to 9/4 = 6 nights. We are elderly and rented a 2 bedroom so as to have two rooms for sleeping and watching TV separately. However, 2 of the 6 nights both TVs did not work. We told the front desk, after the first night, and gave them permission to enter the room to fix the problem while we were out for the day. They never fixed the problem and did not even say they were sorry. Maria, the woman at the front desk, told us to call the corporation. No TV for 1/3 of our stay, with no explanation, not even an "I am sorry". What if we had children with us. Tell them no TV for 2 nights. Mostly the staff made us feel unsafe. They did not care! We paid for something we did not receive."

"Booked a standard graden room, turned out to be a catastrophe: fridge in the mini bar humming so loud one could barely sleep, road directly in front of the room with loud vehicles passing and uncomfortable bed) - slept less than 4hours first night. Then were given the option to move to another standard room which did not have a loud road but for whatever reason had same issue with the fridge. After complaining again were upgraded to better room which was nice (bed nevertheless not comfortable). Lost 2 out of 4 nights to terrible rooms. Overall cannot recommend hotel. If you want to stay make sure only to book higher categories - standard room is absolutely not acceptable - a shame for a supposedly 5* hotel. Other negative aspects: breakfast only okish, food and the restaurant very very mediocre at truly elevated prices & outrageous wine pricing (60€ retail wine sold for 370€..) with no decent drinkable cheaper wines On the positive sides: very nice beach, good service at the beach, nice/cool interior design."

"· Friendly, helpful staff, great central location and excellent facilities for the money. We were only there for a few hours between catching our 9am ferry from Turgetries and our 4am flight from Kos Airport. Although check in is officially at 3pm our room was ready early and they let us check in shortly after noon. They also booked an early morning taxi for us. We were 3 adults - myself, my son & daughter-in-law - and my 6 year old grandson. We had booked 1 room which turned out to be a well appointed apartment. There was a double bedroom with a large ensuite bathroom, a kitchenette with fridge, 2 ring cooker, coffee maker, kettle, glassware, cutlery and some cookware , a lounge area with a TV, couch bed and a child's folding bed set up for my grandson. The rooms were air conditioned and both rooms had a balcony. A hair dryer and clothes airer were also supplied. There was a lovely swimming pool at the front of the hotel, where they were holding a pool party with a DJ and live sax player during our stay. The hotel was within easy walk of the port, Dolphin Square and the old town. My whole family enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would happily stay again."

"We stayed for two nights with the kids, and they loved it, and so did I! The food was delicious, really! There's something for every taste! There are always salads, vegetables, and fruit. We went on a weekend and it was fun! There were dancing and contests. The grounds are large, and you can walk outside the grounds and watch the sunset—it's only a 7-8-minute walk! Overall, it was great!"

Natura Park Village Hotel & Spa Hotels in Kos

Natura Park Village Hotel & Spa

"Just returned from a week at the Natura park village resort, generally I would rate this hotel very good apart from an incident on the last night. The hotel is very clean, plenty of sunbeds, lovely pool, food plentiful and good quality. Private beach available. Bus service into town very poor, waited over an hour despite being at the stop at the time the bus was suppose to arrive, resort approx 3 miles out from main town so too far to walk in high heat, if need to go into town for an organized trip etc. I would recommend booking a taxi. Would be lovely for a 5* hotel to offer their own shuttle bus?? The hotel offer an one per trip al-a-carte menu in a different part of the hotel, we decided to book this for our last night, when we arrived the very rude and abrupt hostess, who also works on reception informed us we had booked on the wrong evening, we assured her we had booked for tonight as we had plans on the night she said we had booked. She told us very loudly and rudely to go up to reception, the male receptionist rang her and then advised us to go back to her as we had been booked on the wrong evening and it was there mistake and it will be sorted. On going back to the restaurant once again she was extremely rude telling us to go away as we'd booked the wrong night. She would not listen or try to compromise. What had been a lovely week in general was definitely marred by this experience. The following day we asked for her name which she refused to give. I would suggest that maybe some customer service training for this member of staff would be beneficial. I would also recommend if you book into the al-a-carte restaurant ask the staff to written down the day and time, and chedk they have written it on the correct day as they book it on a excel spreadsheet and I suspect in our case they wrote it on the wrong day."

"Staff were all very friendly, the views from the pool area and room are fantastic, and the food on the whole was good. Only two issues we had were the pool area is relatively small with limited sun beds - fine if you’re up early but everyday they were all taken, so I feel some couples may have missed out if they decided to sleep in or go out for the morning. The pool itself was lovely and perfect refreshing temperature, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Finally the other issue was the air conditioning in the room was not effective enough - during the day it was manageable if the blinds were kept closed, however at night it got very hot and was uncomfortable to sleep. Food on the whole was very good - the food is mostly fresh and all cooked in an open kitchen in the Thyme restaurant, with a lot of ingredients grown locally on site. Staff were all very friendly the whole stay, including all the restaurant and pool staff. Overall an amazing stay and would definitely recommend for couples."

"We stayed here for 2 weeks and found the Room very comfortable, clean with plenty of Room, it had been refurbished to a good standard apart from the bathroom which had old fashioned Shower Curtain but still functional. The Staff throughout were especially polite and we met an old friend working on the front desk namely Minas Vissaritis who we befriended some 18 years ago."

Apollon Windmill Boutique Hotel - Adults Only ★★★★
"Returned on the 9th July from the Apollon Windmill Hotel. Really enjoyed our week there. We asked for a small hotel with no loud music at the pool and that's what we got. The rooms were spotless and the cleaners cleaned them thoroughly every day. Not just a quick wipe down. The reviews were correct about not having to reserve sun beds. We walked into the town one morning, and got back to the hotel after lunch, and there were still sunbeds free. You do have to pay 2 euros for a towel. Up to you whether or not you change them every day. We took our own and as we did not go to the beach, but stayed by the pool each day, they didn't get grubby, and soon dried on the balcony. The safe was free to use, as was the fridge in the room. Found all the staff to be very friendly, especially the reception staff. As with previous reviews I'm also not sure why the shower doors haven't been made to go all the way round, and yes the water did splash onto the floor a bit, but we got used to that, and just wiped the bath mat over it when we had finished showering. This was changed every day, as were the towels. We did hear a few complaints when we were there about the all inclusive dining, so I'll explain how that works. We asked specifically for an adults only hotel. Because of this, the agent in Tui only offered us half board which we were happy to accept. The reason for this is that if you book all-inclusive, at lunchtime and evening you have to walk to the sister hotel, The Apollon, for your buffet food meals. Distance was nothing. Just a short walk through the gardens. However, that hotel is a family hotel and not, adults only. We overheard a couple of guests state they hadn't been informed of this. We hadn't been offered all-inclusive, so it didn't affect us. If you are half board your evening meal is at the Apollon Windmill. It is a set menu, not a buffet menu which you have at the sister hotel. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked. We did ask if the menu was changed each week but was told no, so if you are fussy eaters and didn't like several dishes on the menu, that might be a problem. Breakfast for everyone was at that hotel though. There was a lunchtime menu to have by the pool serving the usual burger, hotdog, club sandwich etc. After the 1st day, my husband and I were having 1 meal between us. Not to save money, but because they were so big, we just couldn't eat 1 each. Would definitely stay here again. If all you want is a quiet relaxing week, then it's an ideal hotel. We hired a car for the day and saw most of the island, stopping at a couple of towns, some beaches and then drove through the scenic mountainside. Well worth doing. Also, caught a ferry over to Bodrum, Turkey. We hadn't pre-booked this, just asked at the harbour and then booked online on our phone. Cost 33 euros per person. Half an hour on the boat, and there is a huge market to walk around when you get there. It's not a flea market, and neither is it particularly cheap there, "

"The hotel is generally ok, but we only stayed for one night because the ferry departed early in the morning. We ended up listening to songs in the tavern outside our windows until 12:20 a.m. Even with the windows closed, we could hear everything, making it very difficult for the kids to fall asleep. But the location is great!!!"

Zephyros Hotel ★★★
"An aging hotel. The same goes for the room furnishings. The beds were often nailed down in various places. The mattresses had holes as big as fists. The bed slats kept slamming down. The bathroom door was so swollen from the shower that it wouldn't open properly. The hairdryer overheated after 2 minutes of use. There was no storage space in the entire bathroom. Glasses in the bathroom were yucky!! The shower curtain was just hanging there. The air conditioning (for a fee) rattled so loudly that it looked like someone was hitting it with a hammer. Curtains in the room were ripped down, and the balcony door was very difficult to open. The sliding doors on the wardrobe were so jammed that they could only be opened with physical strength. Reception was only open in the mornings, and guests took their own room keys. Breakfast was always the same. One type of sausage, one type of cheese, toast, rolls, Kellogs, coffee, tea. No fruit, no juice! The bar was nicely done, quaint and cozy! The pool was clean and there were plenty of loungers with umbrellas. The hotel was in a good location. You could walk into town in no time. There are bike rentals all around, and car rentals nearby. The island of Kos is beautiful."
