It was disappointing, my friends and I went for a girls holiday, it turned out to be one from hell. A situation arose and when we looked into it once returning home the hotel had tried to flip the situation on us. Disgraceful behaviour, wouldn't recommend. Stay away

The hotel has good facilities - 3 pools with nice loungers, fitness room, spa (didn't visit this), nice bar areas, well-maintained garden - but for me it didn't quite have the 5-star feel. Our room was however kept absolutely spotless by the housekeeper. By chance our room was on the ground floor with a really nice terrace and 2 "private" loungers, which were not directly by the pool. This was great as it really gave me the feeling of being secluded although the pool was just a feel feet away when I wanted to cool down. The buffet style food was just so-so, and as other reviews mention was often just lukewarm and the plates were ALWAYS wet. The best night food-wise was the Greek night (Thursday) where we also got the chance to see traditional Greek dancing and even join in - really fun. The other nights there were quizzes etc at the pool bar. The dance/techno music at the bar opposite reception was far too loud and grated on my nerves. We booked all-inclusive and upon arrival found out "all inclusive ultra" would be 12€ extra p.p. per day. We didn't pay for this S it would have added 240€ to what we'd already paid. I don't drink alcohol at all and had to pay for AF beer (affordable at 3.50€) as the only drinks included were water, "fruit drink" (fruit juice from carton cost extra) or the fizzy sugar water out of the gun. This was a bit disappointing considering other all-inclusive guests had the option to drink their bodyweight in local spirits free of charge. The reception staff were very friendly - Thomas was particularly helpful, speaks excellent English, and seemed to have endless patience for our inquiries and for all the other guests we saw him dealing with. The beach area is just a short walk from the hotel and is very nice and kept orderly. On the whole a pleasant stay, I just don't think all-inclusive is really my thing.

Lovely hotel but food not great, usually luke warm, most nights even though it is a buffet hotel you were waiting for plates which when we finally got were wet. Staff were great and always there to help and assist. Rooms clean but advertised with mini bar and Bath robes in room but not the case. Tea making facilities in room but no water, had to get from supermarket. If you bad on your feet the beach is too far to walk to. Swimming pools very clean but cement between the tiles starting to crumble away and tiles coming off floor. Not much going on on an evening. Would give a 3.5 rating but if they improved food temperatures and enough crockery then it could be a 4.5 rating

The hotel would easily be 5* save for the tepid food, poor WiFi and mozzies in the rooms. Other than above everything about this hotel is excellent. Its spotlessly clean. There's plenty choice of food but it's tepid at best (even fresh out the kitchen is lukewarm). The pool and sea are warmer than the food!

I have stayed in this remarkable hotel seven times, with three visits only just this year, and every single experience has always been the best. Since I arrived I was welcomed warmly by reception staff, who have recognised me as always and made me feel like family rather then a guest. I had to stay solo for 4 days during this stay every single staff member has made sure I never felt alone which made the stay memorable. I have got to stay in deluxe which is very bright and spacious would 100% recommend upgrading. Each time I checked in, rooms were clean and comfortable as well as sheets and towels changed daily. Could clearly see the attention to every detail in the room ensuring every need was met. The food at the hotel was exceptional with everyday having different choices where everyone could find something for themselves. Food were constantly changed making sure they are hot and fresh. Exceptional service was provided in the restaurant with every member of staff always smiling and happy to help. I would like to say special thank you to Claudio, Mario and Nreko who always took the time to come and engage in warm conversation whenever I dined alone. Their genuine care and exceptional service made each dining moment a memorable part of my stay. The bar experience at the hotel is not equal to any other. The staff go above and beyond to make sure people leave with a smile. Dimitri and Anastasia at the pool bar, Kevi, Edi and Alex at the lobby bar, Deka at deluxe bar and the amazing duo Ani and Andy at the night bar pool all created warm atmosphere, expertly crafted cocktails and friendly demeanor which made every evening exceptional. I have to mention the hotel manager Nitsa who’s dedication to guest satisfaction is remarkable in every aspect of stay. Her clear leadership yet friendliness sets a tone for entire staff. While her genuine care and attentiveness was visible. Making sure everything is correct and up to detail but also not only checking up on guests but her staff. A clear genuine atmosphere of family is seen. Finally, as I stayed alone most nights I spent at pool bar with Ani and Andy who made me feel welcome and truly made my stay exceptional. Their mixology skills and enthusiasm created a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The clear genuine interest in guests and personalised experience such as knowing each guests drink and learning about each guest were a highlight of my stay. In summary, every visit to this hotel is unforgettable experience which never gets boring. I’ve been to many hotels but this was truly has a deep place in my heart and never met a hotel with such great atmosphere and employees which go every mile to make sure you leave with a smile, it definitely never disappoints. I’m looking forward to my 8th stay next year.

Hotel and grounds were lovely and very well kept, staff were helpful, friendly (always smiled and were polite) and all spoke an excellent quality of English. I've seen from other reviews that the pools were cold and while its true they were not heated, we had temperatures of 28 - 32°, everyday, so a cold pool was bliss. The hotel attracts travellers mainly from Germany, Poland and the UK so in regard to food, while not always to English taste (e.g. breakfast had frankfurters rather than an english sausage) was a good quality and plentiful with a varied choice. To give a typical spread for the evening meal - cod, chicken, pork (each in various sauces which change each night), various veg (they love a Brussel Sprout 😄, but also green beans, okra, Carrots, brocoli), potatoes, in various guises (mash, chips, wedges, bravas), 2 types of pasta (e.g. spaghetti and penne) and usually 2 types of sauce (e.g. tomato or carbonara), loads and loads of salad, coleslaw, dressings, sauces etc or you make your own up with the various salad components (peppers, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, etc). Plenty of fresh fruit and puddings, which are incredibly sweet (diabetics beware!) but putting this in perspective anyone who has had Baclava knows that its crazy sweet and one of the islands main products is honey. My daughter has coeliac and didn't have any major issues with eating, but being all inclusive very, very fussy eaters might not agree. Greek night was great fun for both food and entertainment however entertainment in general is a little lacking for our tastes (quiz nights, a beach disco, one night of live music) although we were wanting a quiet, relaxing time so not a problem, but if entertainment is a big deal for you keep this in mind. Our room was good, a little tired, but perfectly serviceable for what we wanted, right opposite a pool and the inclusion of a little fridge despite this not being listed on the room amenities was great. The room was cleaned every day! With sheets and towels changed everyday too. Overall we had a fantastic time at the Gaia Palace. Can only speak for the adult aspects of the hotel as we didn't have young children with us. However we plan to return next year with all the family and frankly can't wait.

It‘s a nice Hotel with nice and friendly staff. Everyone speaks english and some even german. The bed was pretty comfy and the room nice in general. Safe and fridge free of charge. It could have been a bit cleaner, but i‘ve never been to greece before, so i don‘t know what to expect. Food was as expected in am AI. not always to my taste and most likely not always the best, but in general ok. Pool was nice and clean, the Beach in walking distance (500m). The Hotel Spa is pretty awesome and is run by a very nice Lady! You have to pay extra but it‘s worth it!
