The advantages of the hotel are a very good breakfast and dinner. Buffet. Very abundant. There are both seafood and local cuisine. Delicious.
I would also like to note the traditional Marriott chain quality of bed. I slept great on it.
The beach in this place is excellent. You can swim safely - the waves are not so strong. Everything is very picturesque if you go left and right.
Now about the disadvantages. Unfortunately, there are more of them. The staff are very unpolite, you felt like you were not welcome here, they were doing you a favor. Fake smiles. On the day of check-out, a little after 12, for a few minutes the staff began knocking on the door and demanding to vacate the room. Is this worthy of such a hotel chain?
When I tried to pay at the reception with a Union Pay card, the staff said that the terminal for Russian cards did not work. Although, in other places and hotels in Sri Lanka, everything worked without problems and it was possible to pay everywhere. I explain this behavior by lack of customer focus, which, again, is very strange for a hotel of such a chain as Marriott and for the service.
I also want to note that this hotel did not have orthopedic pillows or any other pillows - when I tried to find out about this possibility, I was rudely told that there were no other pillows and that was all. In general, for the staff, service and their attitude - a big minus and a bad rating

We were supposed to stay her for two nights but added another to our itinerary. It's a relaxing and beautiful place for families and friends. The rooms are clean and spacious. Housecleaning is also calling to check if anything is needed . The restaurant has a variety of foods from around the world. The onsite spa has reasonably priced packages and the turtle sanctuary has many sea life to look at.

Lovely location. The Staff at this hotel are amazing! So friendly and helpful. The room was large enough and the bed comfortable, although the bathroom could do with updating. There is a huge pool which could do with being a bit colder to make it refreshing. The sea is quite dramatic along this coastline and swimming is not recommended , but the beach is beautiful. There is a little local restaurant a few yards down the beach which does fantastic seafood at very reasonable prices. Food in the hotel is very good . Keminda in the bar makes the best *****nis in the world! He is also a lovely guy to talk to and spend time with. The rooftop terrace bar although advertised as open, isn't. I found this out to my peril as I entered a dark room and missed my step and fell. Staff , including the manager, were more than helpful and thankfully I didn't need medical attention. All in all a really good hotel.

Me and my family went on a trip to Sri Lanka in March and were blown away by hospitality we have received in Sheraton Kosgoda. BIG thank you to every single staff member who has assisted us through. We felt very welcome and like a part of the family from the very first step. One member of staff i do want to highlight is Ms. Tharangi Peiris. She truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay for my brother's graduation is truly as special as the occasion. Tharangi has contacted me even prior arrival to ensure all our needs are met and has exceeded all our expectations by being in touch ensuring we are well throughout. On behalf of the whole family, thank you! Another thank you goes to Amanda from the restaurant. Amanda's smile and positive attitude has brightened up every day for us. Last but not least, thank you to an incredible team of chefs. I am so sorry i have not noted down your names, but every single chef went above and beyond for us. My mom has mentioned she wishes there were mangoes in the fruit selection, and the loveliest chef has picked it up and had mangoes ready for her every day. All in all, one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at! Thank you for your hospitality Sheraton Kosgoda Team!

Had a wonderful stay at the sheroton kosgoda Lovely staff especially the manager Mr Irshad He was so lovely and helpful I would visit this place again just for the hospitality and food 💗. Kids entertainment can be improved since we had 5 children with us and they ddnt have much to do

A very hospitable well maintained hotel with all the required facilities in house. The staff were great and the service was as its best. The rooms were very spacious and had the perfect bed to sleep on. The plunge pool needs more privacy and covering as it’s currently very open to all the rooms above and next to.
