The resort is on the beach front and the kovalam beach is very clean. The cottages are very nice with geyser for hot water. Property is very clean and well maintained. Most of the guests here are for ayurvedic trea**ent from europe mostly such as stress trea**ent but there were vacationers like us as well. Check in and out was smooth.

Nice location. Good view. Well maintained garden and pool. Green grass, blue sea and sand. Nice place to stay and relax. Rooms are good with nice ambiance. Had little problem with ac and then got the room changed. But that room too had problems with bathroom taps. Rest good

The place is beautifully located, access to beach and view of beach is amazing. The ayurvedic massage was very nice.

Rooms - nicely cleaned rooms. Too get a feeling of old style cottage, don't expect morden amenities for the room. But you will get a split ac for cooling. It's a beach property and there is so much humidity and rains but i didn't find mosquitos and other insects. They disinfect the room naturally once in a day with smokes. Amenities - this is an ayurvedic beach resort, there won't be anything for the amusement except the spa & massage or any ayurvedic trea**ent of you opt. But cost of of spa and massage is much higher than thekkady. Safety - it is an isolated property but open from almost all the sides. The lock system are traditionally key lock type. I am not sure if they have any cctvnear the cottages or not. But there are enough staffs so you will feel safe despite all these. Hygiene - as this resort is mostly for the foreigners who stay here to get ayurvedic trea**ents, hygiene is something they maintain the most. Food - food is a part which most of us won't like there buffet is mostly veg except egg items and with little or no spices in the food. But they give an option for ala carte where you can have food of your choice. The ala carte is good. Staffs - staffs are good. They look little rude but none of them were rude but yes they are strict as people come here for the trea**ent. Overall, i liked the stay as it has best view from the property. The beach was nice and mostly occupied by the foreigners only. You do get feel like you are in hospitals as you mostly see old age foreigners who come here for the trea**ents.

Had a pleasant and beautiful stay at ***naltheeram, the place needs two days to explore the beautiful scenery around it. If i plan to go to trivandrum again ***naltheeram would be the first choice.

This place is a slice of paradise for those looking to reset, be held in natural beauty, receive brilliant trea**ents and eat healthy, delicious food. I actually can't really believe how beautiful the grounds are, even though it was my third visit. I have returned home feeling so much better than when I arrived -- people keep telling me how well I look! This is an Ayurvedic resort, so most people, including me, are/were there doing an Ayurvedic trea**ent plan. I think a few people mistake ***altheeram for a regular hotel, and although it offers ***y of the amenities of the hotel experience, it's a little different and you won't be ordering a plate of fries and a beer by the pool. It's a really safe, welcoming environment to truly rest in, surrounded by other guests who are doing the same, which makes it very respectful and peaceful. The staff are all amazing: so welcoming, creating a family-like a**osphere which makes this place feel like home. I can't wait to return. Had a blissful 10-day stay at ***altheeram in February.  The location is beautiful -- perched on a cliff, facing the Arabian Sea, and away from the crowds. The property is beautifully maintained, and the surroundings provided me with an opportunity to take a deep breath, relax and reconnect with nature.  The resort was full capacity during my stay but ***agement does a good job running the resort, and at no point in time, it felt crowded or busy. There is opportunity to mingle with other guests as much or as little as one desires. I spent some of my time interacting with other guests but I also spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on my own and just staring at the gorgeous blue ocean at my doorstep. I felt very safe while there and I have no hesitation staying there alone. The food was amazing -- fresh and good quality. It's a vegetarian's paradise. The staff working in the dining area are simply wonderful and try really hard to support your requirements and make your meals a delight. Housekeeping also makes a genuine effort to keep you happy. There is a laundry facility on-site that I used several times during my stay. I met with my assigned Ayurveda practitioner daily for consultation, followed by the trea**ent that they recommended. I enjoyed the daily 2-hour massages and trea**ents that are geared to your needs and requirements. I had signed up for rejuvenation therapy, and I returned home much more focused on eating right and taking care of my physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.  Finally, I think it's the people that make a place truly memorable, and I felt I was saying goodbye to family when departing. I'm already planning my next visit to ***altheeram and hope to make this an annual retreat for myself.
