"A pleasant hotel staffed by friendly, engaging people who genuinely care about their guests. The place is immaculate and the facilities are good. The beds are quite ‘hard’ (which seems common in Kerala). The pool is clean, well maintained (but cold). The restaurant is excellent - brilliant service, wonderful Ayurvedic food - but not that it is Vegetarian only. The treatments they offer are excellent and good value - my wife had several massages. There is a nice beach a short walk away and the famous Shiva monument."

"Another wonderful rejuvenating stay at Ideal. This was my third visit, and it was as enjoyable and beneficial as always. From the moment I was met at the airport to the moment I left, I felt cared for, relaxed, and in good company. The Panchakarma treatments were excellent, food delicious, room clean and comfortable, and the staff (including on site Ayurvedic Doctors) friendly, helpful and efficient. I felt perfectly safe, as a solo female traveller, at all times. It's only 30 minutes from the airport, and close to shops. Good beaches are just a short tuk tuk ride away. There's plenty of free time to enjoy a swim in the well maintained pool, or sightseeing trips to the Keralan backwaters, local temples or shopping, and daily yoga classes are suitable for people of all levels of ability."
