We stayed in this charming family establishment. We had some difficulty finding the address but it is the ideal place to visit the castle and the souk and also admire the surrounding countryside. Keen eyes will see a little dust here and there, but the welcome, the authenticity of the building, the cuisine and the quality/price ratio are well worth 5 stars!

I was amazed by this place in Kruja! The hosts are very friendly, helpfull and you can feel their hospitality all the time! Everyone is welcome and the family makes everything for you to enjoy your staying there. I had all my mealtime in the same restaurang that belongs to Merlika family with a spectacular view and delicious dishes. The localization is in the actual castle very near to museum and local bazzar.I had an amazing time, realy! I will recommend Rooms Merlika to everyone.

Fresh from Albanian home kitchen, so amazing and delicious and you can taste your grandma cooking So easy to try everything because they serve you this set menu meal with absolutely everything you are craving The staff are so friendly and smiley

Located at the highest point,this building holds particular historical and museum significance well adapted to avery specialrestaurant and hotel. Food traditional,exellent view, quality,service, very clean. Highly recommend!

The hotel has very good views and is very nice, but they have a long way to go for "proper" service.
Some things to improve:
- the toilet stank of the drain
- breakfast a little sp**** and no coffee option (tea is provided)
- The owner sold us, upon arrival, the option of a traditional dinner. When he played, the waiter spoke almost no English and could not help us at all in our selection. It was a good disappoin**ent.

We arrived there by chance and we are delighted. Very friendly service and very good food. Very affordable prices and perfect setting. We recommend our compatriots to come and eat here after visiting the city!

We arrived in the middle of the afternoon in a terrible storm from Shkodër. Last night in Albania after a great three week stay, we wanted to be close to the airport on return to Tirana. As soon as we arrived we felt very good here. The owner is warm and attentive. The storm stopped and we discovered the citadel the hotel is in the center of the ruins. The view became magical over Tirana all the way up to Monte*****. The meal was therefore able to be taken outside in absolute calm with the plain and the coast under the setting sun, an exceptional end to the trip. An excellent meal as well as breakfast the next day. Merlika enters the top of our best accommodation in Albania with Klea in Berat, Rosa in Lin and Konaku in Gjirokaster!
