Penthouse Sky Jacuzzi @ KL City, Malaysia

It was great because it was a duplex, and it was even better because check-in and check-out were so simple... Plus, it was so spacious that even 7 family members could come over to play, and there were many beds and it was great. It was also nice that there was a night market, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby. What's even better is that you can also do late checkout by paying a little more (postpaid), so it was perfect.

A gorgeous looking condominium. Simple, stylish and clean. It may seem a little far from the station if you have luggage, but there is a sidewalk so you can move around. Check-in is self-service. You take the key from the mailbox and go to the room, but the room is not where you get off the elevator, so you have to go out from the exit first, which is confusing. There is no soundproofing or sound absorption, so you can hear the outside sounds as they are. Car sounds, fireworks, construction... you can hear them as if you were outside, so you can't get a good night's sleep. The voices in the hallway echo and sound even louder. You could hear people talking normally even at 3am and 5am. If you are expecting a quiet room, I don't recommend it. It was good that there was detergent near the washing machine. I washed my clothes frequently and dried them indoors, so I didn't have any trouble. The washing machine made a lot of noise when drying, so I held it down to stop it from moving. It was a rain shower type and the water pressure was fine. The drainage was a little poor. There was a bad smell from the drain pipe sometimes. I dealt with it by closing the door and turning on the exhaust fan. The kitchen is very simple. I didn't cook there. There are pots and cutlery provided. There are no condiments. The Wi-Fi was not working well and kept going on and off, so I could hardly use it. I dealt with it by purchasing an additional data SIM. I used the gym several times. It's clean. There is Wi-Fi too. The owner responded quickly and I was able to contact him at any time. He is very polite.
Best KL City View at Regalia Residence

Golden Triangle
Individually run apartment rooms, no service at all. The landlord will not inform you how to check in in advance, you need to add WhatsApp or WeChat, and go to the mailbox to get the room card by yourself. The towels were wet on the first night, and they were not replaced with new towels the next day.
Crossroads Hotel

I work in Lae on a fly-in, fly-out basis, staying in a small house adjacent to the Crossroads Transit Hotel. While the house has all the amenities one needs, working 12 hour days does not entice you to cook dinner. The Crossroads has a small bar, named as the Puk Puk Bar, which serves meals, engineered in the Hotel's restaurant. I have eaten there many times, with dishes ranging from Chicken Parmigiana, potato wedges, stir-fried veges, curries, and a variety of other dishes. They even used to have a Vietnamese Banh Mi on the menu, but fortunately that has disappeared (charging $15 for something that costs less than a dollar on the streets of Ha Noi). Which brings me to my point: there is no rationale to the pricing of each dish on the menu; all dishes range from PGK40 - PGK45 per dish, irrespective of the cost. Notwithstanding, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food actually tastes ok. And the only options are to drive 10 miles to town if you want something to eat.
