Extol Inn Kumamoto Ginza St.

This is a business hotel in the center of Kumamoto. It is located in the middle of the food district, so it is convenient for people who are staying in Kumamoto City to eat and drink and visit the restored Kumamoto Castle, like me. There is also a parking lot. The staff were very polite when they showed me the parking lot and when I asked about the room amenities. A buffet breakfast was also included. It was in the lobby area and there were almost no partitions, so people checking in and out could see me eating. There weren't many types of food, but the Takana rice and Dago soup, which are touted as Kumamoto specialties, were quite delicious. I hope this is helpful.

I think the value for money is very good. In terms of location, it's in the downtown area, close to the bus terminal and tram, and there's a convenience store right next to it. Breakfast is included, so value for money is not a problem. Welcome coffee is free, and you can also purchase drinks from the vending machine. The parking lot is at the back, so it's best to check in advance. The bed is firm, and you can choose additional pillows. It's a business hotel-grade room, so don't expect any soundproofing from the hallway.

A friendly hotel staff member greeted us. Unfortunately, we were not able to try the delicious-looking breakfast, but it was well-stocked with dumpling soup and yogurt. However, as this is a business hotel, it would have been nice to have USB outlets. I don't think it would have required a large budget to install them. When it suddenly started raining, we borrowed an umbrella. There were plenty of restaurants in the area, making it a great starting point for our trip. However, we had a hard time getting familiar with the area, and we ended up walking in a different direction from our destination several times.

The amenities were very complete, and the free breakfast was also very good. They also served Kumamoto's specialty dago soup. It was located in the downtown area, so it was convenient for going out for drinks. I especially recommend the nearby local cuisine restaurant "Kirin." We decided to park in the contracted parking lot "Kumamoto Multi-storey Parking Lot" rather than the hotel's parking lot. It was right next to the arcade, so you hardly ever get wet in the rain. It was a self-parking lot and was very clean.
