Wyndham Kunming Panlong

I stayed here a few times last year, and I chose this hotel again for the May Day holiday this year. It's consistently comfortable, and the facilities are well-maintained and feel very new. The various areas are adorned with jacaranda flowers, which really capture the essence of Kunming today. You can tell the hotel puts a lot of thought into everything. It's very quiet overall, and the environment is excellent. This year, the hotel offered some creative handicraft activities. The lobby staff were warm and friendly. They arranged a room with a bathtub for me, and their electric frosted glass is very convenient and stylish. During the May Day period, the price was also very reasonable and affordable. The cleanliness was impressive; it was very clean. This hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended.

Loved this room! It was super convenient for taking the baby to the safari park, and the family room was fantastic value for money.

This is my go-to hotel for business trips. It's close to my company, making commutes easy, and offers great value for money. The gym on the 4th floor is well-equipped. The bedding in the rooms is very comfortable, and they even provide a complimentary rubber ducky, which is a lovely touch. Breakfast is abundant, and the Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles on the 2nd floor can easily compete with those at Qiaoxiangyuan. The staff are also wonderful; Jason, in particular, provided excellent service and his food recommendations were delicious.

This hotel's location is perfect for families. We were able to walk to the Wednesday market on Longtou Street in just 15 minutes, where the kids absolutely loved the freshly fried potatoes and sweet and spicy rice cakes. We even picked up some fresh fruits and vegetables to bring back to the hotel. It's also close to the Yunnan Wildlife Park, just a 20-minute drive away, so we didn't have to rush in the morning, and the kids were full of energy all day. The room itself was spacious and bright, with a refreshing blue and white color scheme. The bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was super convenient for bathing the kids. Little touches like the Dyson hairdryer and soft-bristled toothbrushes were much appreciated. The bedding was so soft and comfortable that the kids fell asleep as soon as they hit the bed – no trouble adjusting at all. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with delicious and authentic douhua and chicken soup rice noodles, plus adorable little pastries. Even our picky eaters cleared their plates! The staff were all so warm and attentive. Flora at the front desk proactively upgraded us to a room with floor-to-ceiling windows, the bellhop helped us with the stroller, and the cleaning lady even left a small toy for our child. The free parking lot had plenty of spaces, making self-driving a breeze. This hotel was the biggest surprise of our Kunming trip. We'll definitely choose it again next time we bring the kids to Kunming!

Our stay at Wyndham Garden Kunming was made exceptional by Luna, the front desk attendant. Her service was a delightful surprise. Check-in was efficient and seamless. She greeted us warmly, patiently answered all our questions, recommended a sightseeing route for Kunming, and even helped us pack our breakfast. Her constant smile and willingness to assist with every request truly made us feel cared for.

It's incredibly family-friendly, making it perfect for a leisurely trip to Kunming with kids. The public areas are great for photos, and the service is thoughtful and attentive. The rooms are spacious and airy, offering excellent mountain and city views. The bedding is soft and gentle on the skin, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep for children. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, and they can provide a baby crib and children's amenities. The mini-bar, high-speed WiFi, and smart devices are all comprehensive, and the room is meticulously clean with no unpleasant odors. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including pastries and fruits that kids love, as well as a fresh made-to-order station with fresh ingredients. The hotel also has a gym and free parking, though the lack of a swimming pool is a minor drawback. It's conveniently located near Kunming Waterfall Park and the Botanical Garden, making it easy to reach attractions if you're driving. Flora at the front desk was efficient with check-in and proactively offered welcome fruits and children's snacks. Any requests were promptly addressed; I heard a story about a guest with two children who requested rooms on the same floor, and the manager immediately helped upgrade them. The concierge and housekeeping staff were all polite and considerate. Overall, it's highly recommended and offers great value for money.

Avoid this place at all costs! The strong smell of new renovations was overwhelming, and we didn't get a wink of sleep. What we found in the room... just left us utterly speechless.

Considering the price, the facilities and services provided were excellent. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, striking a great balance between warmth and professionalism. This is the ideal choice if you're primarily visiting the wildlife park, offering both convenience and comfort. The only minor downsides were the limited dining options nearby, and it felt a bit isolated when returning late at night. However, if you appreciate a quiet environment for a good night's sleep, it's an excellent option.

The air was incredibly stuffy; I was woken up early in the morning feeling suffocated. I'd already sensed the stuffiness upon check-in. The entire hallway and our room were permeated with a strong renovation smell, which felt quite unhealthy. It seemed the hotel had deliberately sealed all windows and doors – perhaps to contain harmful chemical fumes – making the air even more stifling. My attempts to report the issue went nowhere. On top of that, breakfast was very basic. I had originally intended to stay for several more days, but I quickly decided against it. This was yet another disappointing experience.
