Hotels Near Okawa Shrine in Kurashiki

Because it is a love hotel, I think that many people go by car, but if you walk, it is about 20 minutes from the second niwase station by train from Okayama station. The room is a love hotel, but you can spend comfortably without a business hotel even if you stay alone. Depending on the room, the room I stayed this time is ”Kitty-chan” room, which is cute, has a large bath, and has a massage machine, so you can heal your body. Moreover, you can watch dramas and movies for free.

The room feels quite spacious, but the view outside the window is average. There is a large bath on the 9th floor of the hotel, where you can take a bath to relieve fatigue after a day of walking. There are free popsicles to eat at night after taking a hot spring bath. There is a restaurant opposite the hotel, which tastes good. The hotel is about 800 meters away from Kurashiki Station on foot, about 10 minutes. This hotel is very cost-effective. Turn left when you leave the hotel and the road is opposite the Meikan district, which is very convenient for shopping and eating.

Great location. A block away from the tourist area but far enough away to be away from the noise. Restaurants and convenience stores are a couple-minute walk away. This is obviously a hotel designed in the 80s with the large tall lobby and all the room doors facing the open air. You have the glass elevator and those in the lobby can people watch going up and down. Yes, the furnishings are a tad dated but well-maintained. We were amazed at the size of the room. The size was more like North American size than Japanese size. The bathroom and closet area ALONE could be the same size as some business hotel rooms I've been to in Japan. The Internet was fast. No problems with Netflix. The amenities were decent. If you need anything more, you can replenish in the lobby. Our room package included breakfast. It was decent enough. (Separate review) We got the parking space right beside the front doors, make sure you inform the front desk of your license plate. They do monitor. While I doubt we will come back to Kurashiki if I were, we would choose this hotel again.

We stayed here for three nights and the location is great as you can walk to the Bihan historical area, as well as the JR station and Mitsue Outlet Mall which are around 750 m away. There are a myriad of eateries in the area, from izakaya to ramen, and a tonkatsu restaurant with a Michelin star. The hotel provides amenities such as yukata, dental and shaving kits. There is also a high tea with some sweets and some savouries. Breakfast is included in the price and you collect the boxes from the lobby. It was similar on all three days and included cold sandwiches and salads. If you want coffee you need to buy a hotel tumbler for 1000 yen, after which hot drinks are free flow. Staff were friendly, particularly the younger ones wearing the blue shirts, such as Ms Pek from Korea and the young Indian man. The exception was the female floor manager in black suit, who was effusive to locals but did not seem to know how to deal with foreigners. Overall, it was a good hotel stay.

가성비 좋아요~ 무엇보다 신축 호텔이여서 시설,청결도 좋고 넓적하여 아주 편했어요. 직원분들이 친절하고주변관광 정보도 많이 알려주어 너무 좋았어요! 호텔은 구라시키역에서 1분 거리. 백화점, 상점, 미관지구 도보가능한 거리. 호텔 주차장이 없지만 인근 주차장이 많아 불편함이 없었어요. 조식은 특별하게 계약카페에서 제공되는 식이어서 현지카페도 가고 길거리도 구경하고 좋은 경험이었어요. (로비에 베이글 커피정도는 있어요) 환경을 생각하여 객실 내 어메니티는 최소로 줄이고 칫솔이 필요하시면 카운터에서 달라고 하시면 되요. 다음에 또 간다면 재방분 할 의사 무조건 있습니다. Great deal! It was a brand new hotel. The facilities are modern and quite spacious for Japan. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very conveniently located right next to Kurashiki station(1 minute walk). Department stores, shops and Kurashiki Bikan historical quarter are within walking distance. There is no parking lot in the hotel, but there were many parking lots nearby, so there was no inconvenience. Breakfast was specially provided at the contract cafe, so it was a great experience to go to the local cafe and to see the streets. Considering the environment, there are minimized amenity in your room. Of course you can ask for if you need a toothbrush etc. I was most comfortable and would certainly stay again.

The location was the best for our purposes❗️ I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and size of the room. I would like to use it again❗️ The only disappointing thing was that the information necessary for advance check-in was lacking. As this was my first time using the service, I called directly to confirm whether I could check in using the information that had been emailed to me two days prior, and had the necessary information sent to me again, but unfortunately the information, such as my ID and keypad code, was lacking, so I had to wait after arriving at the site. I think this is a big area for improvement, but once I got through on the phone, I was treated courteously.

The hotel is just less than 5 mins walk from Okayama station. It is also near big malls such as Aeon Mall and Takashimaya, where you’ll be spoilt for choices on food. I like to walk and I was able to get to Okayama castle in less than half an hour. The room is clean and quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Reasonable rates. Straight line distance to Okayama Station. Will definitely stay here again if I am in Okayama.

I stayed for a consecutive night at work. It is very clean and well equipped, just opened in August. I am glad that the public bath is also free. Check-in, out and automatic machines are quite convenient. Convenience stores walk about 10 minutes in the neighborhood, but there are seven eleven. It's very convenient for me to work in a complex, and I've already used it three times in a month. There is also a route inn, but I became a fan of select, so I decided here next time. Please make a reservation early, may it be cheap? The content of breakfast is not bad, but I want to expect further grade up from now on. Rice is also delicious with Koshihikari.

My husband and I chose the Uno Hotel because we wanted easy access to the art islands in the Seto Inland Sea. Hotel is a 3 or 4 minute easy walk to Uno Port which is the gateway to those islands. And ferry ride only about 15 minutes one-way. We expected the art islands to be great but this is a new hotel so we took a chance. Wow, what a wonderful experience on every level; the room, hotel team, restaurant, and the food was exceptional. The Uno Hotel is also within a 1 minute walk to a building which houses Onsen (hot springs baths and spa) and a Japanese restaurant, which they also own. (We did not have time to explore those but heard great things.) I could rave about the restaurant in the hotel called “Bluno” for days….we enjoyed breakfasts and dinners there - each superb with great attention-to-detail. A special treat was meeting restaurant manager Mr. Aran Teruo Pascual. He was kind, professional and personally makes one want to return in addition to the food and contemporary bright setting. The front desk team is warm, welcoming and attentive. When making a reservation I noticed there are multiple hotels or inns that have the name “Uno” in it so my suggestion is that you note that it is the Uno Hotel. I recommend higher floor on the water side, the hotel is not on the water, but lovely view. We look forward to returning.
