This ryokan is close to the bus terminal and main square yet not too massively big. There were still crowd control with limit on maximum number of person in each onsen so it was a pleasant experience with about 3-4 persons in the onsen when we visit during our stay. Dinner and breakfast (excellent) were delicious. Only 1 check-in/out staff speaks minimal English and she used google translate to help during communication - we managed fine. Meals were in private dinning room and staff who spoke good English explained the various courses. A pleasant experience. We stayed in the traditional room without bath and it was clean and comfortable. Would recommend!

I got off the train from Naganohara Kusatsuguchi Station. There is a JR bus that goes straight to Kusatsu Onsen. After getting off at Kusatsu Onsen Station, walk less than 100 meters to the hotel. The hotel must check in after 3 o'clock. To go skiing, get on the bus at Platform 6 of Kusatsu Onsen Station for a free shuttle bus every half an hour. Skiing is not required. Tickets, renting clothes and skiing equipment cost money. If you ski for the first time, it is recommended not to take the cable car up the mountain because you can’t slide down. My husband and son went down after falling down N somersaults, and took a cable car for 400 yen. There is a child The park is 1000 yen for 1 adult + 1 child, if 2 adults + 1 child is 2000 yen. My son came out for 10 minutes when he was 6 years old and said it’s not exciting and it’s not fun, but it’s for 3-4 year olds. .So after renting clothes and ski equipment, skiing at the foot of the mountain is fine

We stayed here for 4nights and enjoyed the convenience of this place. We had a rented car and parking was easy. Room was spacious and heating was very good especially in winter nights. The owners gave us free breakfast on a Sunday and it was very nice gesture. The staff and owner tried their very best to make us feel comfortable, and they are the only ones in Kusatsu that speak a little bit of English to us. All in all, this place was very convenient and fairly accessible. Thanks for having us, will surely return.

This is the hotel taking 5 star from my own scoring so far in Japan. 1) Central location with free car park 2) Amazing Food with Kaiseki type traditional service(Dinner and breakfast). All the ingredients and the way that they prepare in nice atmosphere is amazing. I think it was the best food experience for me so far in Japan. 3) Indoor and open air onsen which is so clean. 4) Service quality and hospitality is top class. We wanted to give a surprise gift to our cousin. We asked their restaurant management to prepare a special closed ceramic bowl etc. They perfectly prepared more than our expectation. Moreover, they also gave their own small gift to our cousin. 5) Building also in traditional shape and well maintained. 6) Our room was traditional tatami style and it was big enough with bath tube and toilet. 7) First floor is the biggest souvenir shop in central kusatsu area.

The hot water that the Shogun's hot water pumped up had a high ceiling and the warmth of the wood was very tasteful. The smell of sulfur, the amount of hot water, the slightly white and muddy color ... The quality of Kusatsu Onsen is really good. Flowers and artworks are displayed in the hallways in the hall, making you feel rich. The accommodation fee is a reasonably high inn, but I thought I was spending enough money properly. The employees were always greeted when they saw it, and it was very pleasant. I wanted to drink beer after taking a bath, so I searched for a lounge where I could drink light draft beer, but I didn't. However, there is a cafe with an inn right next door, and you can drink local beer (unfortunately you can't drink draft beer). Because the car is normal tires (because I was worried about snowfall), this time I left my car at the parking lot at the Kusatsuguchi exit of JR Naganohara and went to Kusatsu Onsen by bus. I don't think it's very publicized (I told you to park the car at the Naganohara Kusatsuguchi at the time of booking the inn, but there is no explanation from the inn), but Naganohara Kusatsuguchi ~ Kusatsu Onsen round-trip bus is Park & Ride discount will be 30 % draw (parking ticket required). Since it is downhill from Kusatsu Bus Terminal to the inn (about 5 minutes), it will be a good walk while looking at the hot spring town. I think it is better to use the transfer bus of the inn because it will be climbing on the return.

Near to Yubatake and also the shopping street - the hotel concierge will give you the shortcut to yubatake once you have check in which makes the route easy. The buffet spread for dinner and breakfast is good. Ramen as supper is added benefit ! They are also sister hotels with Daitokan and Kusatsu Onsen Hotel , and guests can use the onsen in the respectives hotel :) , but need to catch the timing

Close to Yubata and a lodging for a night, you can enjoy Kusatsu Onsen. You can go out to eat, shop and walk in free time. Dinner had steak and Chinese. I bought a drink in seven near Yubata and drank it at the inn. I asked for a cocktail at the bar of the inn that was a little short of drinks, and I drank with my wife while I was soaked in my foot bath. The building looks fashionable. The room is very large and clean, with furnishings such as tables, sofas, TVs, etc. Because it was a free plan for rental open-air bath, I was able to soak and enjoy the hot spring four times. Moreover, the rental bath has a room of a large size, and you can relax while watching TV. There was also a simple breakfast and it was enough. It was an inn I wanted to go again.

It was 20 minutes before the check-in time, but the attendant in front of the gate greeted me with a smile, took my luggage and guided me to the front desk, and the receptionist also smiled and proceeded immediately. Other staff were comfortable inn to greet you with a smile. I enjoyed a color 々 bath, and the snow view bath from the open air of the muddy hot water was the best. The room is compact and old, but it is satisfied with the hospitality and service of the smile. The rice was also delicious, such as the fried tenkara and the soup cut soup that Itamae made in front of me.

The hotel is brilliant overall. The room was big and clean, with the needed toiletries. The heating might be too warm for my partner and me, and we had to leave the balcony door open to let in fresh air. We definitely love the Japanese balcony and onsen bath. The food for dinner and breakfast was local and delicious. It's easier to get to the hotel if you drive. The hotel does provide shuttles. It would be better if the young staff could learn better English as there were plenty of international tourists. It did create some funny embarrassment. To our surprise, the staff member with the best English was the young lady serving us at the restaurant. We'd like to thank her for this. (P.S. I do speak some Japanese.) In sum, it was a great experience, and we enjoyed the stay. We highly recommend this onsen hotel to fellow tourists.

The log house was terrific! Very clean, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen plus dining table. Floors were heated which added to the cozy feeling. The raised floor where the futons were laid was not heated though. There were a few add on’s; very thoughtful. There’s an interior door to separate the genkan (entry way) to keep out the draft. There is a bear bell for you to borrow at the front door. There are two emergency buttons to sound an alarm if need be. (Not sure if they work). These small details, someone thought about it. Lovely forest all around the log cabin. Dreamy. Only thing missing, no one came to set up the futon beds at night. Self-serve only. We had half-board; both breakfast and dinner were mediocre. Quality of sushi was poor. There are many activities such as bowling and mini golf. The equipment was old. We didn’t want to wear the old bowling shoes provided. Things were old, but nostalgic.

GGuest UserWe stayed for one night on November 28. Reservation is HP of Kusatsu Hotel. We booked a main building corner room with two meals per night. You can pick up and drop off by car from Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. Kusatsu Hotel is a beautiful Japanese style inn with a wooden 3-story building built on the high ground of the entrance to the West Kawahara Park. The quaint building is very good atmosphere. The antique furnishings and decorated raw flowers were modest and beautiful. The adjacent Kataoka Tsurutaro Museum of art seems to be operated by Kusatsu Hotel. The corner room on the 3 floor of the main building was a good room with a good view with two corners surrounded by windows. The old wooden frame window feels good. Thanks to the snow that had fallen the day before, we enjoyed the snowy scenery of Kusatsu. The ”Okuba” of the restaurant, which was extended to 2020, is a modern and bright atmosphere while leaving a Japanese taste. The breakfast and evening meals were beautiful, and all the dishes using fresh ingredients were delicious. The public bath (open-air two hot water) is also in a new separate building. It is full of openness and is kept clean. With a large inner bath with a source hanging water and an open-air bath, Kusatsu! It was a very pleasant hot water. (West Kawahara source) Kusatsu Hotel, great satisfaction with a wonderful inn as word of mouth!

WWeichengStaff is extremely friendly, hotel is the mix of modern and old fashion style. Kitchen and common room are modern and clean, bath is authentic. Room is spacious and comfortable. Only thing is the location, it’s up on a hill and around 10 mins walk. So if you’re driving, recommended. If you’re taking public transport and a good walker, recommended. If not, still recommended. 10/10

MMayMayMay7Kazu Hot Spring is one of the three major medicinal springs in Japan, and the first of the 100 largest hot springs in Japan. But the price of each hot spring hotel in Kazu, the only one is the reasonable price of Yuyuan Hall. The Tangyuan Hall is right next to the soup dumplings. Every day, you must see the soup dumplings for breakfast in the restaurant, but the view of each room is not special, just look at the pedestrian walkway. They have a bathroom in each room and the bathroom is to the big bath under the ground. To be honest, maybe I just went to Matsuyama Hot Spring, there is a slight smell of medicine, but the hot spring water in Caojin has no taste, nor is it a collapse feeling, so I feel like soaking hot water. Because Tangyuan Hall has only breakfast options in booking.com, I couldn't try their dinner, but their breakfast was mainly bean-based and very healthy.

GGuest UserWe stayed in one of the rooms with a private onsen. It was a large room with two beds on the floor and a dining area. There was also a tiny makeup area/table on the side that I truly appreciated. The in-room onsen was large and comfortable. It had a large window that opens which brings in the refreshing cool air. The Skintheque toiletries were luxurious and perfect. The large shower was also a plus for us. Food was unbelievable. I was able to try new tastes and flavours I won't soon forget. The breakfast chicken with tomato and onion was a surprise. Dinner's abalone was also a revelation. My DH is a tall and large man. We truly appreciated the length of the bed, the size of the shower and onsen. The only problem is that the hotel staff is not very well-versed in English, though they do try their best.

GGuest UserReview for Thai people Because most of them are Japanese here, walking distance from the Bus Terminal is not more than 10 minutes (young children and the elderly are not recommended for snowfall because walking must be careful slippery) Spacious room, twin bed, very clean. Shampoo, body wash from mikimoto are available. Personally, I like facial cleansing foam. Wash your hands in the same place of pola. There is a combined onsen bath and sauna in the same place. buffet breakfast Not a lot but good quality As for dinner, you have to walk to eat somewhere not too far away. But on the day of the stay there was snow. Therefore, there is a hotel car to deliver to the place. It is a large restaurant with hot pot, sashimi, desserts. The set style is delicious. There are hotels to choose from around. what time to eat (If anyone goes for a walk around the city recommended to eat outside so you don't have to hurry) Summary Overall is considered good. Would be better if the dining room was In the same place and should have a private onsen would be great.

GGuest UserPerhaps the biggest flaw: they don’t have non-smoking rooms. Aged hotel, great location, abismal architecture, ugliest building around the Yubatake, nice service, parking out of the town centre, but with a shuttle taking you back and forth any time of the day. The hotel onsen is ok, but not big enough to deal with peak times. Breakfast is fabulous. A true banquet. And service is so good that they’ll even bring you a nama tamago if you ask them. If you don’t want to pay for a traditional-looking bath house building, you’ll find nothing more convenient than this hotel. And if you have a problem with any ashtray smell of your rooms, they will desodorise it in a process that takes 1 hour. Perhaps not a bad idea to ask them to do this before your expected arrival time.

NnodamemamaI stayed overnight in the latter half of the three consecutive holidays. It was an inn with a hot spring bath in the room. The room is very clean and the pets (toy poodle 2) can also spend a relaxing time. It was a corner room, so the room is bright and nice. I would like to give the evaluation of the room 4. The indoor bath is called ”semi-open-air bath”, but the image of the window of the ordinary bathroom is large. ※ See photo OK, but hot water was tap water. There was an explanation at check-in, and it was explained that the hot water in the room is mixed with hot water from tap water because the quality of the spring is strong enough to deteriorate the piping of the building, but the feeling of the hot spring is zero. I don't smell it. If it's diluted so much, it's not a hot spring. There is a large communal bath (a bath for about 10 people) in 1F, which is fed directly from the source, so when you enter, the skin will melt instantly and it will be slimy. I felt it was a waste because the source was wonderful. Amenity is minimal. (Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, etc.) Disposable toothbrush, shaving, brush, body towel in the room. Towels are available in bathrobes. The problem is meal. I had two meals in the morning and evening. Both were buffet style, but it's a business hotel-class menu. The main dish was sukiyaki and a pot was brought in, and pork and a little 々 vegetables had tofu. It was very, very sweet sauce, which was too disappointing. I think the overall taste is less than home cooking. There are tempura and sashimi, and it feels like I was saved there ※ See photo as well. There was strawberries for the buffet dessert, but when I went to pick them up in the latter half of the meal, it almost disappeared. When I heard the addition of strawberries, I was disappointed that I was told that there was no more. 20 Time 〜 It seems that there is a reservation for the group, so I think I left it for that. Still, if it is worth the price, it is 5 evaluation, but 40000 yen per person per night. When you check in, you won't help me bring my luggage to your room. There are many more decent inns at the same price. Definitely, I will not use it anymore. This price is a consecutive holiday on weekends with this content

JJUNThe ryokan has a history of fifty years. It occupies a large area, the surrounding environment is quiet, and the scenery is beautiful. It is more Japanese-style than regular hotels. It is a 5-minute walk from Kusatsu Ski Resort and Nishinokawa Park is also nearby. Close at hand. The town of Kusatsu Hot Spring is not big. It takes up to twelve minutes to walk from the hotel to Yudan in the center of the town. There are many small shops along the way. I don’t think it takes too long, and the owner’s service is very good. At the bus terminal, we went out one night. Because the road was slippery in the snow, the boss asked about it and provided pick-up. The reason for the smooth communication is that the boss can speak Chinese and has worked in Guangzhou and Taipei for six or seven years, which is also a big advantage. I heard from the boss that Kusatsu is only 25 degrees in summer and it is also suitable for vacations, so I personally recommend this hotel.

MMak MacIt is convenient to go to the hotel for 5 minutes by Tang Yu. Dalong Nai Tang is near the hotel. Wearing a hotel bathrobe to Dalong Naiwen has a 10% discount. Breakfast is normal. The hotel is old but the location is better. The waiter is courteous. The hotel's own hot spring is also good. There are also many locals. Staying for one night is economical. The facilities in the room are still used from the 7th to 80th years, interesting.
