What a beautiful breakfast! And they’re open early! Great coffee, excellent for the whole family. The breakfast set is delicious, juice is squeezed by hand, speciality coffee. Friendly service and easy to find. Highly recommend ✅ if we stayed amother day I know we’d be here again.

This cafe has THE best coffee - if you are Australian and like a good coffee! The breakfast menu is also amazing if you want a western style breakfast. We visited this cafe for a quick ‘take away coffee’ on our way to a castle tour. It was so good in the coffee stakes that we returned for a late breakfast/lunch on our way out of Kyoto. If you are an Australian coffee snob - who doesn’t want to settle for ‘drip style’ coffee I would highly recommend. Not a big place - as per most of Japan but they do have take away if the place is full.

We booked the next door Kyoto Kamanza hotel but this a room only hotel, not serving breakfast. Is that an issue? Oh no, just turn right, walk for 2 minutes and you will get a warm welcome from the staff. Small place, very cool with all kinds of items from Napels. Breakfast is excellent (¥ 880 /sep23) and you get yoghurt with granola, egg, sandwich with chicken and glass of water. All freshly made. Order a fantastic coffee or two and you kick start your day in a great way. We even had Italians saying the coffee here is better than at home. Amazing little gem in Kyoto. One more time tomorrow before we travel southwards. Arigato!

Friendly greeting in excellent English, we were recommended to have the breakfast plate. This was delicious and only 880yen, the coffee was also excellent. The cafe is Italian-styled and so not Japanese, but I would very much recommend!
