I stayed in several hotels during the 2024 Kyoto Cherry Blossom Season. This was my first time staying at Dusit Thani. Now I don't like staying in old five-star hotels such as Okura, so I booked some new hotels. This one is very new and the decoration has just passed. The service is very thoughtful. It is very convenient to sit in the lobby and wait for them to call a taxi. There is a turndown service. There is a geisha performance in the cafe on the first floor of the hotel every Saturday and some Thai performances on other days. There is a very good swimming pool. Remember to bring a swimsuit when you stay at the hotel. There is also a spa. The restaurant has a buffet and teppanyaki, as well as a bar. The basic room I booked has no view. The room is regular and spacious, and the decoration and linens are of five-star standard, quiet and comfortable. The location is not convenient for public transportation. It is close to Kyoto Station and all depends on taxis. There are East and West Honganji Temples, Sanjusangendo Temple, and convenience stores 5 minutes away. Disillusionment was in an instant. First, I found a long golden hair on the sofa cushion. I had black hair, and then I found a ball of paper by the bed. It was definitely not used by me. I felt uncomfortable and checked out immediately. The room price was expensive during the cherry blossom season. I booked many three-star and four-star hotels and never had this situation, especially Porter, which was super clean. In summary, the room is good, the service is good, but the hygiene is not up to standard.

The hardware of this hotel is Zen and the software is attentive. The drinks are of high quality, especially the desserts in the afternoon are beautiful in shape, unique and taste great.

The room size is very good for a hotel in Japan. I accidentally left my camera in the taxi and the hotel helped me find it. It was great. The service staff were very polite and most of them seemed to be Thai. They spoke English and Japanese very well. Well, it was a great stay experience!
