This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in! Stayed there for 8 nights. The location is perfect, to the right is the Gion area, to the left is the shopping street with all sorts of modern and traditional shops. 5-10 minutes to a bus stop or metro station. There is even a TV in the capsule, and towels and slippers are changed daily! There is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and even two face washes, combs, hair ties, razors and dental kits for free. Complimentary drinks including matcha lattes and three types of coffee. There is a traditional huge bathtub freely accessible. Washer/dryer. The staff is super polite and competent. I am shocked by my stay, for the first time I felt such high quality and hospitality, I felt comfort and care at home. Considering the affordable price, I didn’t expect everything to be so excellent!!! Thank you very much~

I visited this place because I heard it had reopened, and it was very clean. There are many places in Kyoto where accommodation is expensive, but I had a really nice stay. I used the shower and restroom right away without waiting. Because it was a capsule hotel, I was worried about the sound of snoring, but they provided earplugs as standard, so I made good use of them. The counter staff were also very friendly. The female staff member, who could speak a little Korean, was especially friendly.

[General comments] 1. Found few hairs on my bed when I check in female capsule, not very clean.. 2. Air ventilation is not good, very hot in the capsule. 3. Locker can keep 24" luggage but it is not clean to keep shoes together 4. Front desk is not helpful, the wifi does NOT work during 2 nights of stay, but they won't find someone to fix the Wifi. 5. Front desk cannot speak English. [Pros] 1. Good location, 1-min walk from Kawaramachi Station 2. The bed in capsule is comfortable 3. Free coffee, tea and water in the resting room 4. Next to Matcha House! which has good matcha / hojicha tiramisu 5. Free luggage storage 6. Free towers, slippers, bath towel, ear plug, head phone [Cons] 1. Common area is super small and it is at the top floor, you cannot access before check-in or check-out. 2. Washing machine is expensive - 700 Yen per once (other hostel 300 Yen per once). 3. Wifi does NOT work 4. resting room is super small and no ventilation 5. no ventilation in female bathroom 6. paid expensive pyjamas for rental 7. TV in capsule does not work!
