Short walk to eating n drinking places. 5 mins, Near to subway.

Close to Kyoto Station, clean and comfortable. However, maybe it was just the embankment, but it was inconvenient because there was no place to insert a USB cable... ㅜㅜ Other than that, everything was good. The older people didn't speak the language, but they still tried to explain and were very polite!

Good location

A small, chic hotel located between Shijo and Gojo subway stations. The room is equipped with a 140cm wide double bed. That's why the desk is small. The cleaning is thorough, and although the rooms are undeniably small, the inside of the hotel is quiet and you can stay comfortably. Unfortunately, there was only one elevator, but we didn't have to wait long. Also, for some reason, there are no foreign tourists. Only the 4th floor is a smoking floor, all other areas are non-smoking. Payment is made at check-in. There is a vending machine and an ice machine at the front desk. Komeda Coffee is located next to the front desk and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, there is a coffee shop called ``Takagi Coffee Shop'' about 50 meters to the right after exiting the hotel (toward Shijo Station), which serves morning sets from 7am. We recommend the ``Rich Morning Set,'' which is a little pricey, but you can enjoy a hearty breakfast of coffee (hot or iced), thick-sliced ​​toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, and potato salad. (900 yen) However, all seats allow smoking, so if you don't like the smell of cigarettes, it might not be a good idea. Please note that it closes at 6pm. There is a convenience store across the main street, and you can walk to Kyoto Station, so I think it's a great value. The front desk is also accommodating.

The room is small, but the bathroom is clean and sufficient for a business trip. The front desk is also friendly.

At check-in, there was a nice towel service. Touchless check-in. The 5th floor guest room was functional and compact, and although it was a bit small, I didn't feel inconvenienced. There was no detergent for hand washing, no safe, and no alarm clock. To the right of the entrance is Shunsei-sha, where Toshinari, the third rank of Gojo, is enshrined. Check-in was from 4pm, but they were happy to accommodate when I called to say I would arrive earlier. Unmanned check-in using terminals is common these days, but the front desk staff accompanied me and explained it carefully. It was not mentioned at the time of booking that a separate "accommodation tax" of 200 yen would be charged if I stayed in Kyoto Prefecture, so I ended up paying that extra. That was disappointing.
