Pretty pricey for a capsule bed in a 26 bed dorm, but everything was excellent so I guess you do get what you pay for. It felt more like a hotel. Even though you share the room with 25 other people, there's enough privacy because these are capsule style beds with privacy curtains. The bed was very comfy, though I found the pillow provided too hard--- I strained my neck a bit while sleeping. Aside from that, I have no complaints. Lockers were provided, Wi-Fi was reliable, the showers and toilets were kept clean. they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels as well as an amenity kit was also provided. the staff were great, they were all friendly and helpful. There's no free breakfast, but you can refill your water bottles for free. The location is great, right at the heart of Gion. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, as well as convenience stores. Several attractions in Kyoto are within walking distance. The closest bus stop is about 2 minutes away on foot, while the Gion train station takes about 15 minutes. Thus, the hostel is in a perfect location for exploring Kyoto.

In fact, this capsule hotel is more like a youth hostel. The bed grid is solid, but the exit of the room is only separated by a curtain at most. The quietness of the room depends entirely on the self-discipline of the tenants. Eating is not allowed in the room, but you can go to the underground lobby to eat, but sometimes a large group of people occupy the dining tables in the lobby, so it can be troublesome sometimes. The staff is friendly and helpful, and can temporarily store luggage during non-check-in hours. The hotel is located close to Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple, which are very famous places, but it is a little far from the subway station. It takes a long way to take the subway to other places, and it is the busiest and crowded Gion shopping street. A bit of a fly in the ointment.

I feel very good, in a small alley with a very nice feeling. The scenery is beautiful, quiet and clean. Love it, I will come again next time.

A very special travel and accommodation experience. It was my first time to stay in a legendary capsule hotel. The location is very good. It is only a 15-minute walk from the popular Kiyomizudera Temple and is conveniently accessible from Kyoto Station in 20 minutes by bus. The capsule hotel as a whole is stratified and managed according to gender. There are about 18 capsule units in one room. Slippers are required to enter the room. It is equipped with a toilet, bathroom and sink, which is clean and practical. Each capsule room has an exhaust vent for ventilation, and there are up-and-down pull-down curtains at the capsule mouth to ensure internal privacy and sleep quality. There is a coffee bar and a common living room on the first floor of the hotel, which is the first choice for cost-effective accommodation for traveling students.

The location is very good, there are popular attractions when you go out, and there are delicious udon noodles nearby. The hotel is very clean and hygienic. Towels are changed every day and shoes are stored as soon as you enter the store. There are just a lot of people in the room and it’s inconvenient to have too much luggage.

The location is quite convenient when it comes to the main attractions, which are all close by. But it’s a 10-minute walk to the metro, although there’s a bus stop right next door. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, very responsive. They are constantly moving around and doing something, cleaning up, so the hostel is clean. The handsome guy at the front desk and other staff only spoke Japanese and English. Although I have learned some English and Japanese, I don't use it on a daily basis. The handsome guy at the front desk charged 300 yen for pajamas rental, which I understood to mean 300 yen per night as tax. I told him that the tax was 200 yen per night when I made the reservation, but I don’t know if he understood. Finally, I was asked to take pictures and I understood. I later learned that pajamas are not required to be rented. The material of the clothes is not suitable for wearing as pajamas. I also brought enough changes of clothes. The front desk could actually use translation software to communicate with me. The boss actually used the translation software to communicate with me because something happened. I communicate. I now tell the front desk that the 4-night accommodation fee you printed is not the cost of my reservation. Does Ctrip earn commission? I even made a reservation one and a half months in advance. I will upload the accommodation instructions to future tourists. The hotel is in a very good location and is surrounded by scenic spots. There are Yasaka Shrine, Kenninji Temple and Hanamikoji nearby. Kiyomizu Temple is not far away and can be reached on foot.
