(Note that there are two hotels with the same name in Kyoto. Don't go to the wrong one!!! I just went there for nothing and was exhausted))) The Sakura girl at the front desk is very cute! The room is not soundproofed. There was a foreign kid who kept calling for his dad early in the morning and no one cared... The Kamogawa River is nearby and it's very comfortable to relax

This place is really cool, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. (They even let me store my luggage a few hours before my check in which I’m very grateful to them for!)
The place is very clean and cleaned daily, the rooms are a usual set up where you make your own bed up with two sheets a pillow case.
The kitchen is big with all you need to cook and they even offer free tea and coffee.
The bathrooms are set up very well and the whole place is very cosy and comfortable with great people to make friends there!
It’s very close to Kyoto station and a bunch of attractions. You can take 1 bus to the bamboo forest and monkey mountain too!
If you’re looking for a hostel in Kyoto I think it’s hard to find a better one than this.

The Japanese tatami is nice, but you need to lay out the mats and quilts yourself. The old house has no elevator, so you need to carry your heavy luggage upstairs.

The four-person room we stayed in did not affect each other, but the noise from the equipment was too loud at night, and there were few public facilities, such as a garden or a platform. The only advantage was that it was close to Kyoto Station and cheap.

Very friendly and competent staff at reception. Free tea and coffee - do it yourself. Very clean. I can only recommend it. Location, right in the middle of the city. Recommendations for attractions in Kyoto are available at reception.
