Nazuna Kyoto Nijo-jo

Such a lovely place, everything was so nice from the beds to the traditional house and outdoor bath. Staff so nice and helpful. Also enjoyed the complementary local snacks and drinks from Kyoto. Walking distance to main area with shopping and markets but situated in a more quiet area. Would highly recommend.

This was our first visit to Kyoto and first time staying in a ryokan and wow, this was better than we could have imagined! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the most pleasant stay. It was the best service we have ever had at any hotel ever! The room was spacious, beautiful, and clean and had lovely amenities for us during our stay. We stayed in the Gyokuro room on the top floor with two incredible baths and plenty of space. It was lovely! We had the sukiyaki dinner, Japanese breakfast, and Ochazuke and would highly recommend it all! The dinner and breakfast were both intimate experiences filled with delicious food, relaxing environment, and gracious hosts. The presentation of the food and the taste of each dish was amazing! This was the perfect way for us to relax and recharge as we continue to explore Japan. Highly recommend booking with breakfast and dinner and prepare to stay from check in to checkout - you won’t want to leave the property once you are here! Special thank you to Mana, Akara, and Shota for making this the highlight of our trip. Your warmth and hospitality made us feel so special. We so greatly appreciate each of you and hope we can one day come back again!

We were on our honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was amazing. The dinner was great and they prepared an excellent special vegetarian version. The rooms are very comfortable and tranquil. The hot tub was also super pleasant. Would definitely recommend. The service was top notch, this has been the kindest hospitality we’ve experienced.

Incredible experience, the best part of our 23-day trip in Japan. The staff was most welcoming and the food was excellent! We got the breakfast twice as well as the supplementary sukiyaki dinner once. It was a pleasure to stay at the ryokan, totally worth the price we paid!

The sukiyaki dinner we had was really good. The beef was very tender and the side dishes are really good too. Japanese raw egg are 👍

Haruka and Mana gave an unexpected letter, it was really sweet and cute, and for the handmade ring 🤭💞 🥺 Shouta and kaho were really entertaining and fun during our dinner/breakfast. 💞✨️🤭 Everyone was realllyyyyy nice and sweet
