The hotel was difficult for our taxi driver to find (have the address ready in Japanese, I took a screenshot off the ********** map). However, it is an affordable little gem. It is an older hotel, small and family run. The place is kept very clean and the managers are very helpful and considerate with decent English. It is on a quieter sidestreet in a busy little area, two short blocks from nishiki market and hundreds of restaurants and shops. My family of five felt safe in the area and the hotel seems very secure.

I love this hotel so much. The staff is super kind and helpful. The room is a bit tight but still managed to sleep all 4 of us. The location is unbeatable. I really wasn’t expecting it to be right at teramachi market and down the street from nishiki. I will definitely be coming back whenever I come back to Kyoto.

With accommodation prices in Kyoto skyrocketing, the location and price were really good for a family stay. There were plenty of amenities. I was a bit concerned about the carpet, but other than that it was very clean and nice. It's a bit simple, so you can hear the chairs and doors in other rooms. lol But that's just another memory from the trip, so it doesn't bother me and I'll definitely use it again when I'm in Kyoto. I also liked that check-out is at 11am!
