New hotel and spacious. The location is very convenient to Nishiki Market, Teramachi Shopping Street and Kawaramachi Shijo, all within walking distance.

The room is quite large, and the cypress tub in the bathroom is great! The basin and rotating makeup mirror are uniquely designed.
There is a washer and dryer in the room which is a plus, it is so helpful for travelers!
There are free sake and drinks in the lobby at designated times, which is very nice!
The hotel has a luggage check-in service to the airport!

Of course, it may be that I just chose the cheapest room type. The more expensive one should be better. The all-you-can-drink sake session in the evening is quite attractive. The hotel service is not very comprehensive. I was told that I need to call a taxi myself, which is a bit dissatisfactory. I don’t speak Japanese well, and people in Kyoto generally don’t speak English well. How can I call a taxi myself? But the front desk looked like I was in trouble and still called a taxi for me, so there was no problem.
