Kiyomizu Sannenzaka

Apartment style, the room is of medium size, equipped with gas stove, microwave oven and washing machine, so those with strong hands-on skills can use it; the location is unique, surrounded by scenic spots, and those with strong legs can walk all the way to the shrines and temples of Higashiyama. Now is the time when the tassels are in full bloom, and it feels great.

Accommodation very close to Kiyomizudera Temple! After walking only a few meters, we found ourselves on the slope of Sansanhan. It would be quite difficult to carry our luggage there, so it’s best to ask for a ride. If you want to experience the authentic Japanese suite life, this room is a good choice. Moreover, the landlord has kept the house very clean and comfortable. The kitchen counter seems to have not been contaminated by oil fumes. The bed is soft and hard to sleep in, and the pillows are dry and wet. The separate bathroom and toilet also has a small bathtub, which is deep enough but cannot be stretched out. There is a washing machine in the exclusive room, a shelf hanging on the bathtub after washing, and a bathroom dryer that can dry the clothes in one night. Remember to check whether there is a text message or email with a pre-check-in notice before checking in!!! If the landlord is not waiting at the counter, you have to find the key safe box at the entrance by yourself when you arrive on site. The password of the safe box can only be seen with the check-in notice given by the landlord.

Good folk customs and cooking

The hotel is located right on the internet-famous staircase just outside Kiyomizudera Temple. If the current price can be maintained, it will be extremely cost-effective. I would definitely recommend it.

I liked that the facilities were nice and clean. I didn't use it, but there is a washing machine and a gas stove. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and there is also a bathtub. The hot water comes out really well and the water pressure is good. However, I went there believing that they could store my luggage, but since it was self-check-in, there was no one there and there was no counter to store my luggage. I tried using the emergency number, but they didn't answer, so I guess I only had to pay for the international call. Still, it was in a curved alley right in front of the stairs leading to Cheongsusa Temple, so I went there early the next morning and felt comfortable. I plan to stay again next time!
