Fauchon Hotel Kyoto - A Member of the Leading Hotels of the World Reviews

I had an excellent stay at Fauchon. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The hotel staff were also incredibly attentive and polite throughout our stay. My room was small but comfortable, featuring modern and luxurious amenities that were stylishly pink in colour and comfortable bedding. The attention to detail in the room was impressive, with thoughtful touches including a whole array of complimentary cookies and cake. Breakfast was served as a set menu and selection was limited and basic but expertly prepared and presented. The hotel's location was also perfect for me because it is situated right in the heart of Kyoto yet away from the crowded spots with excellent access to public transportation. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, the nearest train station is about 10 mins walk and the hotel is approx 15 mins walk to Kawaramachi Street (shopping area). Just behind our hotel is the river and all the restaurants. Our room has the mountain view.

This luxury boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail is impressive. Every aspect of the guest experience has been thought through. From check-in to check-out, we felt like VIPs. The room was as beautiful as it was comfortable. Food at the Geand Café was spectacular. Perfect location, with several several buses stopping right in front of the hotel, making exploring Kyoto very convenient. Short walk to Gion and other interesting areas. The only area for inprovement would be offering a wider selection for breakfast. It was excellent, but we wished there were additional options. Will return next time I’m in Kyoto!

The room is bigger than average in Japan. Have comfortable bed and pillows. Miss Kana is very helpful and attentive.

Staff is nice and polite, room is clean and silent. Good experience.

The most satisfactory hotel in this trip. Check-in and check-out are on the first floor. The environment is very good. I stayed for two days. On the third day, I found that the table flowers were changed and the flower arrangements were all beautiful. The room is large, clean, girl-friendly, and full of details. The hotel uses soft water and can be drank directly. There are some Fauchon snacks in the pink closet, which can be packed in cloth bags and taken away. I had breakfast once on the 🔟 floor of the hotel. It was a set meal and the bread was good.

As soon as the taxi arrived at the hotel entrance, a pretty and gentle lady immediately greeted us with a smile. The check-in was polite and thoughtful, and the waiter could speak simple Chinese. The warm and romantic pink room was full of girlishness. The power adapter plug I brought was not compatible, and a phone call to the front desk immediately sent a matching one. It was my first trip to Kyoto, and I was really moved by the Japanese customer-oriented service etiquette. The cultural and civilized qualities of a nation are fully reflected in these details.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The details are very good and it is a hotel that pleases women. The hotel also provides a lot of candies and snacks, which is their characteristic. (This photo is a reference to the room type I stayed in last time. I was in a hurry this time and forgot to take a photo...)

The location of the hotel is very convenient and the service is very good. I have stayed in other hotels near Gion before and the service is much worse than here. Especially the manager of the catering department is very dedicated and there is another lady who forgot. After asking for names, we asked for a cup of coffee, but we didn't think the one they brewed upstairs was good enough. He even helped us go to the coffee shop on the first floor and asked a professional clerk to make coffee, which was very touching!  The service at the front desk on the first floor is also very good. It is worth visiting the hotel again!

This is the most satisfying hotel I have ever stayed in Japan. It is clean, conveniently located, and has first-class service. There is also a Japanese guy who speaks Chinese at the front desk. It is very good. There is nothing wrong with it. It is the first choice for staying in Kyoto. The service of Ctrip is also very considerate. I will choose to book from Ctrip in the future. The location is great. Kyoto is suitable for walking. There is Kamo River next to it. Kiyomizu Temple, Kenninji Temple, and Kyoto Station can all be reached on foot. 30,000 steps a day is a sure thing.

Very satisfied with all aspects. The subway station is about five minutes' walk away. There are buses at the door, and you can also walk to Kiyomizu Temple. There are convenience stores within three to five minutes around. However, it is just right not to be disturbed by the noise of scenic spots and commercial areas. The service is also very good. I will choose this place next time.

The rooms are all above 39 square meters, which is rare and spacious in Japan! The location is very good. It costs 1,200 yen to take a taxi from Kyoto Station. It takes about 6 minutes to walk to Takashimaya. The beautiful woman who received her spoke English very well! Snacks can be taken home as souvenirs~ The pink decoration is suitable for traveling with mom
