Bon Kyoto Kiyomizu

The room is great and the price-performance ratio is very high. It is really rare to book such a large room in Japan. I will arrange this hotel next time I go to Kyoto. It's a pity that there is no Chinese service at the front desk

In this case, I was a little embarrassed because it was an add-on, but I learned that I couldn't cancel or change the reservation. I realized this after making a reservation. It's a bit awkward because you have to go to the site and pay by credit card, and the exchange rate may fluctuate, so it may not be the price you first saw, so it's inconvenient. I asked Trip.com if payment had not been made yet so I could not go, and they said I should not no-show because my card information was included and the hotel could make the payment at their discretion. If I change the date during my travel itinerary, the hotel price would be reduced by more than half, so I inquired, but Trip.com said no. I don't know if it's because they won't cancel or if the hotel won't do it. The hotel wasn't very good either. The windows didn't open and were opaque so I couldn't see outside. The sofa bed and table space were spacious for a Japanese hotel. The sofa bed was not clean so it was a bit uncomfortable. There is a rattan back cover on the sofa, which is perfect for hitting your head while getting up. Even if you ask for room cleaning, they won't do it. This is my first time seeing a hotel that doesn't allow date changes, cancellations, or room cleaning. What I liked was that the Chingdae was spacious for a double, the size was good, the bathroom had a bath chair, and there was a key to store your suitcase so you could lock it and leave. Umbrellas were also provided. This is usually done in hotels.

It was a clean room with separate toilet and bath.

Six days and five nights self-guided trip to Keihan; check in for one night on 2023/09/05. I chose this hotel because it is closer to Kamogawa and Kiyomizudera Temple. This location is a 10-minute walk to Kamogawa Bridge (Songgendori) (there is a delicious yakiniku restaurant on Kamogawa Street), a 15-minute walk to Rokupolomiji Temple, and about 35 minutes to the main entrance of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. When checking out in the morning , the Japanese gentleman at the counter happened to come to Tainan, Taiwan last month to meet friends. He spoke Chinese very well and made us feel very friendly.

位置不錯, 房間裝修也很好, 但房內部份家具狀態很差, 椅子是爛的, 洗手間內的架子站不穩會左搖右擺. 三層垃圾箱分類很企理, 但放置在床邊, 即是要面對著垃圾筒睡, 有點不太理想. 其他都很好, 員工也很有禮, check-in/check-out很有效率.

The stay was pretty good. The bathroom was clean and the room was spacious. The staff are very friendly and provide plenty of towels. If you need more, they will provide it to you upon request. For meals, there are Korean restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and there is a take-out restaurant across the bridge nearby, not in Kawaramachi. It was nice to get take-out chicken at a reasonable price. It's a bit far from Kawaramachi, but it was worth walking.
