We stayed at Pineda Park as a family of four between 17th August - 7th September, children aged 8 and 3. We had a two bedroom apartment on the 4th floor (408) facing the road, with views of Portaventura in the distance. Apartment was a good size, with a large balcony. Some of the furniture and appliances are dated but that never really bothered us. Air conditioning worked well as did the WiFi (although a bit patchy in places and download speed is very slow). Apartment was cleaned four times during our stay, clean towels offered every couple of days. The welcome pack clearly states toilet rolls would be replenished during cleaning, but this was not the case for us. We were given a single roll at reception and on the third occasion of asking we were told to buy our own from the supermarket. Yet we saw a Spanish family given two rolls at a time, no questions asked. They charge €5 per day for a travel cot, which we felt was unacceptable (you can buy one for less). I believe it’s the same charge to use a safe. Being on the 4th floor I was surprised by the amount of traffic noise you can hear from the road below. We also experienced a lot of noise from other apartments at night, on one occasion until almost 3am. Something to bear in mind is that one of the windows in our apartment could be opened when in the locked position (see photo). Important if you have young children. Staff are generally polite and helpful, and the guy who does the entertainment is a great sport (even ending up in the pool fully clothed at one point!). Some daytime entertainment would be beneficial as there’s not a lot for kids to do on rainy days (we had a few of those towards the end of our stay). The building is kept clean and well maintained, and the laundry room is a nice touch; €5 per wash including washing powder and softener. Dryer is €1 for 10 minutes, iron and ironing board free to use along with laundry baskets. There is a small arcade room next to reception where the machines are generally €1 per play (pool tables €2). There is also a luggage room to the right of reception. We never really had problems getting sun loungers around the pool. It was busy at times but we always found something. Foam party was at 6.30pm on a Sunday and great fun (they stopped doing this going into September). I personally thought the pool area was quite poorly maintained with dirt buildup around the loungers and on the bottom of the pool. The pool drains didn’t appear to be cleared regularly either. It was also left to guests to report any ‘issues’ around the pools. This is where I think a lifeguard would be beneficial; not just for safety but also to maintain rules and cleanliness. The surfaces can be slippery, especially for toddlers. There is a wooden shed type bar at the pool but we never saw it open. The main issue we had at Pineda Park was with some of the prices being charged in the bar/restaurant. €12 for a lukewarm carbonara that would barely feed a small child, €

We loved out recent stay at Pineda Park. We were a family of four, kids aged 7 and 10, in a pool-facing apartment. What we loved: Pool - was cleaned every day, almost always loungers available and a good mix of shade and sun. Was great for families, lots of kids messing about :-) Apartment - well kitted out, plenty of crockery, cutlery, etc. Small dishwashing pack and shower gel/shampoo and loo roll on arrival. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, lovely balcony, basically great. The hotel isn't brand new so some of the decor is a a bit dated but nothing unusual for European accommodation. Location - La Pineda is a great resort, much quieter and more diverse than Salou (lots of French and Spanish as well as Brits/Irish). Hotel is 5 mins from the beach and there are easily 10+ restaurants within 5 mins walk too. Beautiful beach. As you head away from the beach it's much quieter and more residential. Staff/service - we didn't have much to speak to the hotel staff about but every interaction was friendly and courteous. Bar staff and entertainers were all really friendly. We got towels changed every other day and room cleaned, bins emptied, recycling taken four times during our two week stay. Could be better: Entertainment - was a bit hit and miss but not for the want of trying from the entertainment staff. Unfortunately a small complex with self catering means that there weren't many people about for the entertainment at times. Foam party was ace though, so were Karaoke and quiz nights. Restaurant - food not our taste, more like a uk pub, but what we did eat was fine. As mentioned above, loads of other restaurants nearby which we enjoyed. Few other points: Our security deposit was returned the day we left, no issues, even though our clothes dryer broke while we were there.

We spent a lovely, quiet 10 days here, as a family of 5, with teens age 13-15. Very clean and spacious. 3 teen girls fitted easily into a bedroom in a 2 bed apartment (1 on a pull out bed but fine). The staff are rally friendly and helpful. Fab location with a 5 minute walk to the beach and shops and restaurants (spanish). 20 minute walk to the waterpark and a some lovely shops and restaurants (including a fab Irish bar). Would highly recommend.

We had a 10 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment for 4, with a 10 and 17 year old. They had a regular stream of similar age children young adults to hang around with. After reading the negative reviews, which are in a minority, we were slightly apprehensive, but didn't really experience any issues. We talked to the helpful staff if we needed any information or help. They're stacked out with toilet rolls, btw. We benefitted from a free child place and paid extra for the pool view, and were quite happy with the apartment allocated, on a high floor. There was no issue with noise from the bar downstairs, and the entertainment finished by 10:30pm. Our youngest loved the pool area, and the entertainment guy, top bloke. The towels go on the sun beds in the morning at 9am, but we usually were able to find free ones, including later in the day. My wife and I preferred the promenade and beach in La Pineda most days, a 5 minute walk away. There are outdoor showers to wash the sand off, so we could pop into one of the many beach bars for a beer or wine and a bite to eat. We enjoyed watching the ships moving in and out of the port. We went to the Aquapark 3 times, and found queues built up during the day, so bought the speedy pass for 8 rides on our last visit. It's only a 20 minute walk away. La Pineda has lots of Spanish visitors, which we liked. It took us a couple of days to get used to this. Don't expect all supermarket and restaurant staff to speak English. We used Google translate to support with a few words in Spanish and got by okay. A few restaurants in the town stay open through the day, but many have a siesta between 4 and 8pm. Our kids who are fussy eaters, but found the they liked the variety at the Texas Steakhouse, which is open through the day. They liked the food in the hotel bar also, plus the games room. We ventured out to Tarragona a couple of times, well worth a visit. We ate there both times off the Ramblas, and found it reasonably priced. We'd stay again at the Pineda Park. Our apartment was cleaned regularly, the communal areas were always well maintained.

Miss lead. This place is listed as a 4*. It's not like any 4* I've stayed in! We had to ask for loo roll!! In the end we bought some. We've never had to do that! 100 euro deposit was asked for on arrival. Check in was smooth enough....although our room wasn't ready. It didn't take long. Reception staff were pleasant. Our room was a 2 bed apt. 2 bathrooms too which was good. Our balcony door didn't lock! I mentioned to reception who said it wasn't a choice for them, all hotels locally had to do the same. I was told it was to ensure that if we were cooking, we didn't get locked on the balcony. We were 3 floors up and my main concern was the room safety. We hired a safe (expensive!!!!) I asked at reception, if Our room was broken into if we were still insured, they avoided the question with a response that they have cameras and it's not an issue. The rep didn't understand my concern with the door not locking. Other guests were shocked to hear our door didn't lock as theirs did! The pool area never felt clean and I never saw the pool being cleaned. Several times a grid by the pool started gushing water out whixh stunk like the drains. Sunbeds were needing some tlc. Although plenty available. Location isn't too bad. Plenty of facilities within a short stroll. We enjoyed the fact the air con was in every room Inc bedrooms. All in all, it was "ok" but it's certainly not on par with any 4* I've stayed in, for the price, it should be better! T The entertainment guy did his best. Evening entertainment was dead. Most people went out. One night, the entertainment was a quiz on your phone! Such a shame as this place could be better. The best thing is the foam party!!

We spent 12 nights at Pineda park and had some good experiences but are unlikely to visit again. Positives - Rooms are a good size, spacious and we loved our pool view balcony - Quiet pool area without fighting for sun beds -Clean communal areas -Amazing and impressive breakfast with staff that work incredibly hard. -Friendly and helpful reception staff -Great location Areas for improvement - it is not to a four star standard compared to other places we’ve stayed across the world (see photos) - rooms can be noisy when you’re trying to sleep from other guests (we were on the first floor) - sunbeds are tired and some are broken - you needed to go and ask for toilet roll and we had to request that our room was cleaned after four days as they hadn’t done it. However, when speaking to reception they did act quickly - so thank you. I just feel like we shouldn’t have had to chase this up. -foam party was an excellent idea and our children loved it, but the risk of drowning is frightening as you can’t see the water because of the foam. If I child was to get into difficulty you wouldn’t be able to see and there isn’t a lifeguard. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but almost certainly did not feel like a four star.

Thank you for an amazing holiday. These apartments are spotlessly clean and exceptionally well maintained. As other reviews have said the rooms are very spacious, towels are changed every 2nd day and the apartment was cleaned in the middle of our stay. The pool area is open 9am which was so refreshing not having to get up before 6am to reserve a bed. There is always a bed available. The pool is clean and well maintained. We ate breakfast a couple of times in the bar and the service was fantastic. Everything about this holiday was fabulous. La Pineda is a quieter resort and I’m so glad we stayed here rather than Salou. The locals are friendly and the food delicious. Can highly recommend the grilled prawns in Dorado and the restaurant opposite the apartments does the best calamari. Thanks again.

We (a family of 4) enjoyed our 7 day break at Pineda park apartments. It’s not particularly plush and in some ways it’s more like a really good 3 star but I think the staff push it up to being a 4 star type stay. Reception staff are so nice and helpful (special shout out to the wonderful Eduardo) The place is spotless which is a credit to the cleaning teams involved. You only get the apartment cleaned once per stay (on the 5th day) but new towels every 2 days. You also have to take your own rubbish out across the road to the bins .. not a major problem though. It’s not a particularly large complex and the pool is small (but more than adequate). The apartments although basic are really big with huge balconies. No real views of note for us but comfy beds and plenty of room left us having a lovely stay. We didn’t see much of the entertainment as we mostly went out in the evenings. But the 80s rock band were excellent. The hotel bar is quite quiet in evenings but plenty’s of drinks/ice creams etc to keep the crew happy. There’s a small games room too which was a hit with my two kids as well. Taxis in the area can be hit and miss in terms of how long you have to wait (was peak season though). We had to wait 90mins+ to get home from Salou at one stage too so factor all that in when (as we did) you seek the more hustle and bustle of Salou. Food in hotel bar was nothing spectacular but the cooked breakfast was nice. Only downside on the trip was a family who decided to loudly party in their room til 230am! Some people have zero manners but that’s hardly the hotels fault! All in all a very nice week. Thank you.

This place lives up to the reviews, the apartments are really nice and spacious. Super team working there - reception were really friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff have the place spotless with linen/towels changed regularly. Entertainment is just in the evenings but ticks the box. Gabriel is fantastic with kids of all ages & the Sunday night foam party was a massive hit for all. Mini-disco good for under 10s. Unfortunately they loose the 5th star due to the onsite food offered. It's cheap and basic fried/microwave options. Speaking with many guests who had been before this was also a disappointing change :( Since most restaurants don't open until 8 we then had to leave after mini-disco to eat so never got to experience the later entertainment Safes a bit on the steep side at €5 a day La Pineda itself is a lovely areas with great food options on the doorstep that saved us from the disappointment of eating in the hotel. Beach also lovely and only a short walk. The whole area is flat so easy to get around and the bus is great value once you figure it out
