The hotel is 10~15 minutes walk from the centre/ the pier. There’s a supermarket Carrefour City nearby that you can easily grab some water or snacks on the way back in the evening. The hotel feels a bit dated but the room is reasonably clean. Ladies should note there’s only a 2 in 1 shampoo/shower gel provided in the bathroom so bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner. The receptionist is cheerful and very helpful when I asked for informations. The only issue I noticed is it seems there’s a club nearby and I could hear the music vaguely even after midnights. Nevertheless, I’d say the stay was good value overall.

I really like this hotel, the location is perfect for the old town, with shops, bars, cafes etc within a few metres walk. The main transport square is only maybe 50m away, with lots of buses and bikes. It’s such a cool vibe inside the hotel, like 70’s style. Very friendly staff, very good value. The breakfast is ok, like a continental selection, nothing hot (apart from boiled eggs) but it’s fine. I’m on the second floor and here is a slight fan type noise all the time, it’s quieter as you go down each floor, but I’ve slept well. The veranda is a little grubby, as is the central outdoor area, but everything else is immaculate. Don’t expect that perfect modern hotel look, the bathroom for example looks “dated” but that’s the point - it’s really clean and looks so cool and homely, not like all the usual modern hotels that have no character. Good selection of books downstairs. I really like the place, originally booked 3 nights but extended that to just over a week which says something. Only marked 3 for Services as there’s not much else other than rooms, a chill out area and the breakfast room, so don’t expect spas/pools etc

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel with my 21 year old daughter in the first week in July. It's in a great position, down a beautiful street & a short walk to all the bustling restaurants along the port. The lady at check in was really lovely, friendly & informative (& again when we came back one night wanting a hot drink to take up to bed with us she helped us with this). The rooms were clean & the beds comfortable (I'm a bit fussy when it comes to what I sleep on but I had a great night sleep). We stayed midweek and didn't experience any issues with noise outside. The walls are a little thin and on rare occasions could hear next door but this didn't bother us at all & what this place offered overall more than made up for it. The shower cubicle was small so wouldn't suit everyone. I've been to La Rochelle many times and stayed at various hotels each time depending on who I'm traveling with (as a couple or large group). This place ticked all of the boxes and we weren't disappointed. On another note: I usually take a taxi from the airport but the queue was horrendous and after half an hour we decided to jump on the bus (it was Illico 1b) and it took us only a couple of minutes walk to the hotel from the Dames Blanches/St Nicholas bus stop....for under 2 euros each...so I'd do this again just to save taxi time, regardless of cost. Recommend this hotel....and of course beautiful La Rochelle. Ps. there's a lovely, buzzy restaurant opposite too with yummy food...it was packed so we had to take ourselves off to a nearby bar to have a drink & wait...worth it though as restaurant had great atmosphere. This hotel is what I would call a hidden gem! The view from our room was SOMY AMAZING, the room was large, light and airy and very clean. We had an adjoining groom which our three children slept in and there was plenty of space. I’ve stayed in a lot of higher star rated hotels but this has to be one of the BEST ones I have stayed in- the port view rooms are without doubt the best part! Watching to world go by was amazing. We will be back! Thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff and if you are looking for a clean, safe, well located space to stay in La Rochelle I highly recommend you book this hotel! The only consideration is to access the reception and rooms it’s stairs only. Our 4 year old was fine and luggage not to much of an issue.

B&B hotel La Rochelle centre (boulevard Joffre) Very beautiful surprise! The room was very good, but it was very good. In addition, very sympathetic staff, professional, friendly, serviceable, very good room, very clean, already prepared paraplus bed, very good bed, small more boiler, coffee tea available in the room. The very clean rooms, the small dej very well and the location of the hotel very well. The code put in place in the rooms to replace the magnetic cards you lose or forget to make, very well too! I have no negative point to say! Bravo and great thanks !

The Accostage is a wonderful hotel, in a great location with easy access to the city, a short walk to the beach and the old town which has great sights and restaurants. Le bunker museum is well worth a visit. The staff, especially Sylvia were brilliant and so helpful! Breakfast was superb and good value. The room was clean and perfect for our needs, compact but superb. Parking is very tricky as the streets nearby are extremely busy (August visit) we had to park (initially) 250 metres away, but don’t let that put you off…,

We just spent five days/night in this hotel and sincerely our stay was one of the most pleasant: welcome to the boss and his wife very nice convenient and exciting breakfast, The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. Hôtel parfait pour 3 nuits : chambre triple vue port bien insonorisée, propre, climatisée , avec une grande salle de bain. Situation géographique privilégiée face au port pour visiter la ville à pieds .. accueil charmant de la gérante qui prodigue de très bons conseils pour les restaurants, les activités à faire à La Rochelle et les magasins de produits culinaires artisanaux . Le PDJ a 6,50€ est très satisfaisant pour le prix : 1 croissant frais, confiture, miel boisson chaude, jus de fruits , 1 grand morceau de baguette fraîche , beurre ( au choix - demi sel). Bon rapport qualité prix . Bref à recommander
