La Rochelle Hotels with Wi-Fi

Stayed 3 nights in February and asked for quiet room - 3rd floor at rear of hotel very quiet and slept with window open without problem. Breakfast adequate, room clean and modern with towels changed daily. quality and desk only staffed at certain times but can book in at Kyriad next door. Will stay again next week.

We spent a night from 8/07 to 9/07. The price shown from 49 euros, we paid EUR 85 plus 2X EUR 9 for the small breakfasts, high rates under the pretext that it is the Francofolies ... It is, but vestee room, dirt, unwrought bathroom, deteriorated, The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel. We told the receptionist that we should ”pleasure” by commenting on the site and we are very happy but really disappointed that we have paid as expensive for services as badly.

We arrived in the dark, wind and rain. However, the lady from reception and valet came outside to greet us, which we appreciated. Very good car parking. The hotel is a lovely building on a street with nice shops and cafes. The hotel bar and lounge area is very nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and there was a fire burning, creating a lovely atmosphere. Our bedroom was large, the bed and pillows comfortable and the shower was great. I was very impressed by La Rochelle and would love to visit in summer. Very friendly and helpful staff. We did not eat in the restaurant but it looked good. Thankyou

An excellent hotel that was clean and a good location to walk into the old Port. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast excellent. We had a standard room that was a good size and a lovely shower room. Just lacking a handle in the shower and a shower mat for safety reasons. We would highly recommend it.

I struggle to recognise this as a 5 star establishment. Pleasant enough and in a good location, with friendly staff ready to assist. Sadly the systems and facilities let down the hotel. We stayed 4 nights. The hotel restaurant was fully booked on the first night (we were not warned are advised to book in advance despite contacting the hotel prior to arrival) and it was closed on our second and third nights. We were disinclined to book on our last night. The hotel allows dogs. Fine providing owners do not leave them in the room whilst at breakfast, allowing them to bark constantly and waken neighbours. Breakfast was average and let down by slow replacement of items. The moderately warm but congealed bacon and scrambled egg were not attractive. On the other hand, the kitchen produced two excellent omelettes. Leisure facilities were not used. The steam room and sauna were available but shower facilities were out of action during our stay. Who wants to sit around the leisure area in a sweaty state? The pool was poor and afforded nil privacy. A good, if rather expensive cocktail bar, staffed by a man who knows what he is doing. A good, but again, expensive car parking service. There are no sensible options in this part of town.

We had one night in La Rochelle and my wife had booked this hotel in advance months ago. It's just at the edge of the Old Town, so you need to park somewhere. The location is just perfect a couple of minutes away from the heart of the harbor, packed with restaurants, tourists and a cool street ambience. The hotel had no elevator, by chance we only had a floor to climb up. Good beds, complete bathroom, a new smart TV in the room allowing quick and easy USB movie loading... That's more that we expected for a 3-star hotel. Also, the breakfast was very good! Additional kudos to the front desk manager, very kind and helpful. That's my go-to place in La Rochelle.

Excellent accommodation in a modern and well-equipped hotel (secured parking underground, highly performing wifi, excellent litter, beer bar, quite complete PDJ buffet). The location is excellent only 10 minutes walk away in direct access to the historic heart of the city centre and Old Port, much more effective than in car (20-25mn due to work). Tip: Let his car in the secure parking of the hotel to avoid the gallery to turn around to find a quite expensive and far-from parking place because the nearby parking is quickly saturated.

Very modern surrounded by the park trees. Hard to realize in the center of a large city. Very quiet. Very large parking area. Had a great room, very good facilities. The outside terrace by the pool was excellent. Breakfast, outside was very varied and lots of favorite choices. The main problem for me was the distance in the heat from the old port, where I had pre -booked dinner. Taxis were not available and the walk was tiring. Staff were very helpful. My only complaint was the hotel situation not being signed as the park entrance gave no indication of a large hotel in its center.

The location is very convenient, really close to the center, and with some convenience stores near by. However, the ”studio” is actually a single room with a bed which takes all the space, a tiny kitchen space and a bathroom which has a lot of empty space, a tiny shower and a tiny basin. The window-door to the terrace cannot open fully because the bed is in it's way. Hardly any room to hang your clothes, the trash bin is actually set in the closet... Too bad the architect had no sense of practicallity. As i stayed ”only” one week, no cleaning was done for the room (not even once), and I hardly crossed any staff trhoughout my stay. The lady at the receptionist may need to have some english lessons so that she can feel more comfortable with tourists from other countires. In conclusion, disappointed and would not renew with this type of ”studio”.

Excellent stay at hotel, close to train station, 5 minute walk to tourist office, 5-10 minutes to harbor areas and restaruants with view of old harbor, less thanb 10 minutes from pedestrian areas. Comfortable rooms, lots of storage, nice bathroom with shower inside tub. Very good brekafast with oysters for breakfast as well as eggs, meats, cheese, etc. Friendly helpful staff.
