Carvi Beach Hotel

We had such a good stay in 2023 that we thought we'd return during the first week of March this year. Even if the pool was open, the cool rainy weather during most days made sitting poolside untenable. In spite of that and the ongoing minor construction on their top floor, senior management and staff, many of whom have worked there many years were very warm and hospitable in welcoming us back. The restaurant on the 6th floor provides a sensational view of the ocean and is a great way to start each day. Regardless of the weather, one has to make the most of the circumstances during their holiday so we still hiked the nearby boardwalk after the hotel's sumptuous breakfast taking in some breathtaking ocean cliffs views. This never gets boring. The boardwalk has been extended during the course of the last year to Ponte de Piedade and ultimately almost to the next town Mos and pretty close to the Lagos Marina in the other direction. As well, we dined in the rooftop restaurant this year and found the meals to be as good as any in the Old Town restaurants or by the very busy Marina area. We hope to return again next year. Silvia, you should be very proud of your delightful staff who do their best to make a guest's stay memorable.

Faultless hotel! The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Plenty of options including hot and cold dishes. Staff were amazing and special thanks to Lili who went out of her way to make you feel welcome. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the rooms very comfortable. Location was perfect by the beach and just a short walk into the old town. It also felt a very safe place to be. Highly recommend! Excellent value for money!

Was not sure what to expect but everyone was very friendly and helpful. The service at the restaurant on top of the hotel was excellent and they made us feel very welcome. Food was great too. It's about a 10 minute walk to the old town but no problem despite being hilly as the views of the bay were good. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had no issues. happy to recommend.

The receptionists, with their unwavering smiles and helpful demeanor, eased my worries and answered every question with grace. But it was on the rooftop where the true magic unfolded. There, under the expansive sky, I met all members of staff whose warmth and genuine kindness made me feel like I had found a second home. The entire team exuded professionalism and joy, their laughter and camaraderie infectious. Miguel, with his impeccable service and attention to detail, showered me with warmth and care, while Ruben's knowledge of wines and quick wit added a touch of whimsy to my days. The entire staff, though their names escaped from my memory, worked together harmoniously to create an atmosphere of pure joy and acceptance. The hotel's restaurant, a culinary delight overlooking the sea, became my refuge for delicious meals and moments of pure bliss. From pasta to duck to tiramisu, each dish was a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. And the chef, with his culinary prowess, crafted a steak that left me speechless with delight. As I savoured my meals and gazed out at the breathtaking view, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the serenity and beauty that surrounded me. The beach, just a short walk away, beckoned me with its soothing waves and golden sands, a perfect spot for meditation, yoga, or simply basking in the symphony of the ocean. And so, as I bid farewell to the hotel and its wonderful staff, I carried with my heart full of memories and a soul nourished by the warmth and kindness I had experienced. In the end, I realised that true hospitality was not just about clean rooms and delicious meals, but about the genuine connections and moments of joy that made me feel truly welcomed and cherished. And with a smile on my face and a twinkle in my eye, I knew that I had found a place where magic truly existed.
