HI Lagos - Pousada de Juventude
"It is well located in the city center but it is noisy . No proper sound isolation . Also no air conditioning , too hot . Staff is nice"
The Editory by the Sea Lagos
"Wow. This hotel completely changed my perception of Lagos itself. It's an amazing hotel! The pool is great, and the night view and scenery from the room are something I'll remember for a lifetime."
Aqualuz Lagos by the Editory
"The hotel has a good location, about a 10-minute walk from the city center. However, the layout is confusing at first and feels like a labyrinth. The room was spacious but lacked basic amenities—not even a tea sachet and cleanliness could be improved. The staff were kind and helpful. Parking is paid, but there are free options nearby and a large parking area five minutes away for just €1. Breakfast was good, and the pool area is spacious and enjoyable."
The MN56 Hotel
"I stopped in the town of Lagos for a day during a business trip and thought Hotel 56 was quite nice. It's a boutique design hotel, and the hotel manager told me it just opened this year. It's a renovated 200-year-old house with three floors and 22 rooms, and you can tell the hotel's decor and details show a lot of care. It was off-season, so it wasn't crowded. They close from December to February for the holidays. The front desk manager, Christopher, was very professional and patient! He talked to me a lot about local history and introduced nearby attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was à la carte, and everything was amazing. I rented a car, and after unloading my luggage at the entrance, I had to park in a parking lot a three-minute walk away."
C15 - the Patio do Convento Apartment
Residence Lagos
"A very warm welcome and a generous breakfast. A very good place to stay."
N 03 - Bedroom 3 in Amaro Sight Guesthouse
"Lagos has many hills, and this house requires walking up a very steep slope. The lack of a washing machine is a bit inconvenient, but there is a dishwasher and a laundry room a two-minute walk away. Gas and an electric stove are also available, which is quite convenient. There are several large supermarkets nearby, and a huge Chinese-owned convenience store is a 3-minute walk away. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town and about a 15-minute walk to Marina. There are four rooms in total, but the soundproofing isn't very good, especially in the hallway and bathroom. The curtains in my room were broken and looked quite old when I checked in on the first day. I contacted the agent via WhatsApp but didn't get a reply. The second day, it was very bright, and I was woken up by the light around 5 or 6 am. They called in the afternoon... They said they could come to fix it and asked when I'd be home. Luckily, I was free, so I waited for them to come. When I first arrived, the Wi-Fi wasn't working either. Later, the staff fixing the curtains said it was probably expired a long time ago, and they bought a new card and replaced it while they were fixing the curtains. The key pick-up point is a bit far from the house, a 15-minute walk, which isn't very convenient. Also, the path is made of small bricks, making it a bit difficult to walk with luggage, and there are many slopes. However, taxis are very cheap. The lock downstairs is a bit difficult to open; it requires some skill. I couldn't open it at first. The price is very competitive. I booked quite late, around 100 euros for five nights, which is excellent. Strangely, the house only had shampoo, not shower gel. I suspect the staff just put it there randomly because they all look the same except for their names. There were no extra charges at check-in, and a simple breakfast was provided every day. Although I was alone, they still prepared enough for two people."
Belver Porto Dona Maria Resort
"The Belver Porto Dona Maria is a Resort with a big Golfinh place. You book houses there which are en n good shape. Normally Kitchen togethee with big living room, bath with shower and pod and sleeping room. You have all things which are in a kitchen needed also a refrigerator and can cock by yourself. The friendky cleaning service (like Fatima) comes ever day and so its clean. The manager of the property will gelp you if you sre in trouble. A big swimming pool area is included to visit. You have a card for using it.Also the location is n near of the beach a small walk brings you to panorama views and amazing clips. I‘ve enjoyed the place and other people looking at my, of course its cheaper to book than a little hotel room of course Praia da loose is expensive."
Topcity Hostel & Suites
"My boyfriend and I chose to reserve a private room at the hostel due to the good reviews and accessibility to City center/beaches. The room was very clean, spacious, bright windows and a wonderful shared balcony. Evo was the GREATEST hostel staff- major shoutout to our guy. Pool is warm and the rooftop brings a ton of energy. Warning- it is loud in the hallways and with doors shutting. Bring some earplugs. Also, it’s very safe!"

Hotel Riomar
"Terrible customer service and liars"
The 17 Party Hostel
"The location is good, about a 20-minute walk from the train station and bus terminal, and it's very close to the center. The staff are also friendly. The kitchen is a bit small and there is one bathroom for both men and women on each floor, so it's best to avoid busy times. There is a bar on the first floor that is open late, so it can be a bit noisy at night, so it may be difficult for sensitive people."
Lagos Atlantic Hotel
"Except that the room is not big enough, it is basically acceptable! I am quite satisfied with the stay! It is clean, warm and the facilities are modern!"
Lagos City Center Guest House & Hostel
"In the Old Town of Lagos, this hostel blends peace and convenience, located just a 10-minute walk from the beach and within easy reach of restaurants and bars. It features a six-bed dorm with wooden beds, individual reading lamps, and power outlets, as well as a four-bed dorm with metal beds. Towel is included but locker is 1€ per night. Despite the vibrant nightlife nearby, the atmosphere remains calm and quiet. There are supermarkets like Almanhecer and Spar in the area. The kitchen includes two ceramic hobs, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker for ground coffee, and a refrigerator—but no oven or freezer. The space opens onto an inner courtyard with plastic tables and chairs."
Cascade Wellness Resort
"Very nice apartment with plenty of space. Nice kitchen with washing machine as well as dish washer. Bath tube available."
Iberostar Selection Lagos Algarve
Boavista Golf & Spa - Bela Colina Holidays
"We stayed for 93 euros per night on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in May, for a total of three nights! The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The garden view was also quite nice. The cutlery was clean, and the stainless steel pan made grilling meat a bit difficult, though ^^; It was nice to have a two-bedroom for the first time in a while! We used Uber to get around the city for around 4 euros. We went to the Benagil Caves for around 28 euros one way. The return trip was about the same price! I'm coming back to Lagos, and if the price stays the same, I'll definitely stay here again. I stayed in room 78. The only downside is that there's a sour smell when you first enter or after cleaning. It gets better with ventilation, but I don't know why."
Vila Valverde Design Country Hotel
"My wife and I spent a dream holiday from 20.08.2025 - 27.08.2025 at the Hotel Vila Valverde Design & Landhotel. The owners were able to convince us fully with the concept of sustainability and regional products. If we wanted rest we could retreat, if we wanted to live and people, then in Lagos we fell into the nightlife. A perfect concept that the owners have come up with here. The complex is very well maintained and clean and conveys pure luxury. We enjoyed half board and each course of the 4-part menu was a true culinary delight at star level. The service staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. I would like to thank the owner Luis Tavares very warmly for the friendly conversations at breakfast with many suggestions and tips. This stay will remain a lasting reminder and I assume that we will be happy to come back in the next few years to repeat this impressive stay. Thank you to the whole team for making this dream holiday possible."
Montinho de Ouro
"We have stayed here 5 times in total, but will not be back. I’ve always had a good rapport with the owner (over email), but she didn’t even seem bothered to reply, prior to our stay. While there, she sent a cleaner down to the pool area to tell us (a group of 4) to be quiet, as long stay guests were trying to read their books. No compromise, no discussion. We have since found a nice spot in Alvor, where all guests are treated with respect, and the food offering is far superior."
Luzmar Villas
"What a lovely hotel. The staff do everything to make you feel comfortable. The garden is perfectly maintained. Rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast was top-notch every day!!"
Quinta do Mar da Luz - Country & Sea Village
"Very nice, and there's also transport available, and a lovely little town for swimming is a 20-minute walk away, everything was perfect."
Solar de Mos
"Solar de Mos is a lovely, small, family run hotel. It is in a quiet location and takes about 20 minutes to walk or a 5 minute taxi ride into Lagos old town. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast has enough choice to satisfy everyone. An additional coffee machine would be beneficial at busy times. There is a quiet outdoor pool area with plenty of sun beds. There are a few restaurants in the surrounding area but Lagos old town has enough for a different one every day of the year. We will definitely be returning to the Solar de Mos in the future. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay a memorable one."
Belavista Da Luz - Wellness & Lifestyle Hotel
"Perfect, just what we needed"
NH Lagos Algarve Resort
"Facilities a little old . Not a nice odour when opened the closet. Air condition not working well and water get easily spill out the bath area into the sanitary area. The tap at the washing basin not well designed too close to the basin and water easily gush out requiring delicate control. Our room was the farthest end of the hotel block requiring to talk 2 lifts and walk various floors to reach the room."
Marina Club Lagos Resort
"Trip.com didn't make much of an effort to address the issue of having to change a reservation at the last minute. The room we were given had a good view but was located on the top floor and had equipment that made a lot of noise during the night, so we had a restless night."
Belmar Spa & Beach Resort
"Very nice resort with great service. The spa and the pools were very enjoyable and it was also close to a beach."
