It looked good, it was clean, and most service people were polite (except one guy at the reception). However, it is 2km from the closest town, and the only a (mediocre) breakfast was provided - coffee machine dispensed powdered milk. You could order very few things after breakfast (burgers and such), and if you did you have to eat them in a cold dining room (it was only heated for breakfast).
There was only one mediocre restaurant nearby, so you had to use taxi to go to town for every lunch and dinner.
The hotel would not let you fill your water bottle for the night from the water fountain, you had to buy a new plastic bottle and throw it away every time. There was no music or entertainment of any kind. In the dining room, one song played over and over again.
The weather in winter is also bad - if it was not windy (sometimes gale strength) it was raining.
In short, we could not wait to leave, and certainly would not go again.

The hotel itself is very nice and I liked the small kitchen in the room. I was also very impressed with the spa although disappointed to find out it closed at 7.00pm. I think given this is advertised as a luxury hotel there should have been a nice selection of toiletries in the bathroom.

Overall great but an uncomfortable experience with housekeeping. They did not replace a towel during service and left us with one towel. When we asked for replacement they acted as if we had stolen the towel. Barged into my room while I was sleeping with total disregard for my privacy.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Next to a perfect beach, this truly is a the perfect place to relax. Our duplex/townhouse was spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. We were half board and the service and food was excellent. The staff polite and friendly. Only downside was the sports pitch needs re-surfacing but we knew this wasn’t available when we booked. It would just finish off a great resort.

Greatest spot in Lagos. Clean beach, nice restaurant, perfect SPA and pools. Enjoyed friendly service and personel. Clean appartement and clean parking garage keeping the car cool. Cocktails to go with nice local variations to enjoy. We are looking forward to staying here again soon

Mooi hotel met ruime appartementen (inclusief uitgebreide keuken), die regelmatig schoongemaakt werden. Ruim binnenzwembad en buitenzwembaden. Mooi uitzicht op de zee en ook zeer dichtbij het strand. Vriendelijk personeel en super lekker ontbijt. De avocado toast met gepocheerd ei is zeker aan te raden.

Had a fantastic stay in Belmar with our family. Apartments were extremely clean and spacious, staff were really helpful and food in the restaurant was excellent, and gym/pool facilities were great . At check in, staff member overheard us saying it was our anniversary and had a bottle of bubbly sent to the room which was a really lovely touch. Hope to be back next year with better weather !
