Booked a 6 wk stay at this resort with friends. Units are lovely, property is lovely and service has been great with respect to accommodations and on site restaurants. No complaints. Unfortunately, the golf experience has been disappointing. Absolutely no service whatsoever. Strictly self service, not because they don't have staff, they do....they just stand around. No one to greet/welcome you when you arrive. No one to help you unload clubs from car. You have to wade through lots of golf bags to get to the cart and load clubs yourself. They don't give towels, don't sell/provide water, don't tell you where you can get water. Don't have electric caddies (need to rent off site). Don't offer club storage for long stay guests. Annoying to have to lug golf clubs back and forth every day for golf. Proshop staff marginally better. Don't feel like a welcome guest, made to feel like a minor annoyance. Golf course has some pretty interesting holes albeit there are some conditioning issues with the course just now. The resort would have gotten a much better rating if the golf experience was improved. BTW - our group has golfed around the world - handicaps range between 9 - 15, so have lots of experience at private/public courses and what basic service levels should be.
