We had a wonderful stay at Tanjung Rhu. Location was superb, away from the hustle and bustle of Cenang Beach. The views overlooking the Andaman Sea were picturesque. Beautiful sandy beach. Had a wonderful dinner at The Chef's Table serving italian fair. Our server, John was great, gave good recommendations and took great pictures of us! We'll be back surely for a longer stay

You can tell the 5 stars! The service is very professional and attentive. The whole complex is very well maintained, beautiful and spacious.
Breakfast buffet is delicious and varied, but I've seen better in the price range!
Right next door is the jetty for mangrove tours, but other than that there isn't really much to do. It is designed more as a relaxation resort and this concept works.
About the room: Unfortunately I noticed a few negative details here. The walls are partly dirty and have signs of wear and tear, and the AC system could also use some updating. Some buttons on the controls could not be pressed. I would normally ignore that completely, but this really isn't a bargain hotel, especially by Southeast Asian standards, which is why details like this stand out negatively. The bathroom, however, was great!
The beach is gorgeous and in my case there were no day tourists, so it was always very quiet and empty. It is also the only hotel far and wide. Next door, separated by a rock wall, is the Four Seasons. Especially when you consider that you're paying three times as much, I can finally recommend the Tanjung Rhu Resort for anyone who wants to treat themselves!

Tanjung Rhu is a paradise for aesthetes, a large area with design. Breakfast practically on the beach, fish in the pond, monitor lizards running around. The room is huge, comfortable and clean. Incredibly prompt service, they cleaned several times a day, and we didn’t see them even once in two days. They added water, added coffee capsules, and changed towels. Delight, I’ve never seen anything like this before.

Came to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday but was not disappointed. They’ve prepared a cake which was really sweet of them!
Hotel is located quite far in tanjong rhu, so it may be quite difficult to get a grab to get out. we needed to go to Pantai cenang one day for jet skiing, and there was no grab drivers around even after hailing 30min. However the hotel was really nice to help us call a taxi, but even for them to arrive at the hotel it took 20 min due to the distance. We were quite late for our jet skiing that day, so do plan your trip well and leave way earlier.
However, this gave us a lot of privacy which is great. We practically had the private beach to ourselves and there isn’t much people using it. The beach is also very pretty! Great for people who want a getaway from crowds and city.
Rooms are huge, and they have given amenities such as bath salt for your stay. However, not all channels of Tv is working (Netflix etc) even though it’s written on the leaflet they’ve printed for each room. One night, we tried to call the hotel to clear our dirty dishes but no one picked up across reception, housekeeping, in room dining even though we were calling for 1 hour.
Overall we really loved our stay. The people were nice and it’s really a great value based on what you pay. I’ll let the pictures show you this amazing resort :)
