Yaiza est un endroit plutôt idéal pour rayonner sur l’île en voiture. La Casa de Hilario est un endroit très calme. Pas de réception, pensez bien à donner votre horaire d’arrivée. De toutes façons avec un coup de téléphone, la personne qui vous accueillera sera là dans les 10mn. Les petits déjeuners (8h30-10h30) sont agréables. Les espaces communs sont très accueillants, eau bouillante avec sachets infusions & thés & froide à volonté dans lnespace commun. Un grand frigo commun avec des bacs qui vous sont réservés sont à disposition aussi. Pratique pour profiter des soirées en grignotant quelque chose sans pour autant aller systématiquement au restaurant.
Le resto situé juste à côté est délicieux, un peu chic et cher. Un petit bar à 200-300m vers le bourg du village est sympa, ambiance néons, foot & tapas pourra vous offrir de quoi vous régaler autour d’une petite bière.
Endroit un peu isolé qui fait du bien.

Die Casa di Hilario liegt am Ortsrand von Yaiza, die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe sind sowohl zu Fuß, per Fahrrad oder Bus super zu erreichen. Das kleine Hotel bietet ganz viel Ruhe, tolle Ausblicke auf das Meer und die Berge bzw Vulkane ringsherum und ist trotzdem gut angebunden. In der Nähe befinden sich fußläufig diverse Restaurants oder Imbisse, auch ein kleiner Supermarkt mit allem was man braucht ist schnell erreicht. Das Frühstück ist lecker und bietet viel Abwechslung auch an frischen Zutaten wie Obst und etwas Gemüse. Der Kaffee ist jedoch mehr Wachmacher als Genuss :-) frühstücken lässt sich toll auf der weitläufigen Terrasse mit schöner Aussicht, mir hat nur besonders tagsüber bisschen der Schatten gefehlt (keine Schirme oder Sonnensegel). Egal was man braucht, das Team der Casa ist gut erreichbar (keine Rezeption direkt vor Ort) und hilft gerne bei allen Fragen und Wünschen, egal ob Fahrrad mieten oder allgemeine Auskünfte. Ein toller Ort für alle, die es ruhig mögen und eigenständig sein möchten oder können.

We spent two weeks at Casa de Hilario in Feb/March. The house is a traditional rural house outside the village of Yaiza in the centre of Lanzarote. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with views to the village and one of the many small volcanic peaks. Breakfasts were buffet style and self service, with tables indoors and outdoors on the large garden terrace. The food was fresh and the service from Lucia was excellent. The house was unstaffed in the afternoons and evenings and there was no bar or coffee facilities, which we missed. The guests all learned to stock up on snacks and drinks in the local supermarket. There is a good, traditional restaurant (Bodega de Santiago) next door for those who don't want to travel too far to eat, though our favourite restaurant was the nearby, sister property Casona de Yaiza which was excellent (we ate there four times). A good base for travelling around the island and will suit those who seek peace and tranquility in a lovely village. Not so good for those seeking a lively nightlife.

Stayed at this hotel when our flight was cancelled late one night managed to booked around 10.30 pm spoke to a lovely lady who spoke English we communicated through WhatsApp she explained how to get there where the keys would be pictures explaining where the room was For that time of night it made a stressful night a lot easier for us We had a lovely continental breakfast in the morning booked a taxi with a lady who was doing breakfast Taxi came on time I would say they went above and beyond to help us Thank you
