A nice room on the canal. Not as plush as I remember Malmaison being ( some adornments removed due to covid). But very comfy and a good stay.

The staff at this hotel were really friendly, warm and helpful, and in particular, Zainab on reception, and Matthew in the restaurant. We felt genuinely cared for and looked after. The room was cosy and very clean, and the food was delicious. The bath water was extremely hot though, and I couldn’t reach the tap to turn it off because of the shower screen, so had to get in and do so - a bit dangerous. I know there was a sign about hot water, but didn’t realise I couldn’t move the screen until afterwards.

We arrived on Sunday 12 May 2024. Found our check in very rushed. Nothing explained to us in any details. The room was very dated and needs a refurbishment. No fridge in the room and no water provided for the room either!! The bed was comfortable and the bedding very clean, however the pillows had definitely seen better days, very small and not plush at all (in fact I have thrown better pillows away at home!!!) Went to have a shower in the morning, there is a sign on the tap saying the water is very hot. I could not turn down the temperature and definitely could not stand under the shower as would have burnt myself Not returning will stick with the Clayton or Hilton in future

5 minutes walk from the train station, Exceptional welcome and service from lady at front desk ( name began with Z I think ?!?) Good room with nice toiletries. Unexpected cool bar with great cocktails and again fabulous service - will absolutely be back :-)

The pillows genuinely are the fluffiest I've ever felt. The team were all absolutely lovely, before I knew it, I had an upgrade to a suite (the most fabulous, quirky room I've ever stayed in), a late check out to work, plus a Benefit trea**ent for free. Beautiful hotel, fabulous location in Leeds with a wonderful team. Highly recommended.

Absolutely will return, such a great hotel. The room was large, nicely furnished and clean. The bar was really pleasant and nice to sit and enjoy a drink before heading out into the city. We will definitely be returning in the future, we had such a great experience.
