Always get what you expect at Village. Clean and tidy room, easy check in/out, lovely breakfast. Little disappointed with the price but was due to an organised event in the locality.

Not happy with trip.co.uk as I booked a club room with free access to gym and pool. But when about to enter gym/swimming pool they refused saying that it was a standard double room. Even though it was a club room, and all club rooms include free access to gym and pool.
Lady in gym reception refused to let us in even though it clearly stated in the email confirmation that it was a club room with free access. Lady still refused and demanded money to use the gym and pool. I asked for management. They said because i booked through trip.com (third party) it did not allow.
Absolutely ridiculous.

I have stayed at the hotel so long it's clear that it feels like home and I can honestly they they don't go less than above and beyond to help you feel at ease and at home I have not one complaint to make other than, can't you just let me live there guys xx 🥰
Helen on the desk is one of the loveliest people you'll probably encounter and if there's an issue they try their best to deal with it in a favourable manner so that you don't feel awkward or embarrassed, well once they know you better, you'll have to remember how many people they all deal with minute by minute and they aren't all reasonable, understanding or rationale but they all seem to keep their cool and keep a light humour to the situation which is lovely xx

Absolutely fabulous stay for the weekend to celebrate a family anniversary. Every member of staff was polite and helpful and efficient. Made us feel very welcome and were very flexible. The Event team held an amazing evening in the event room, very officiate, very helpful and everything ran smoothly. Well done Village hotel, we'll be back.

The bathroom was flooded when we arrived, reported but no one came to fix. Next morning had a shower which water flooded floor and outside door as i guess drain is not good as disabled room. reported again was offered to speak manager or free coffee, but had to get in with the day so refused, other wise room nice few bashes items but clean.

Big hotel with a good vibe going on, from check in to check out it was an enjoyable stay, we did not have breakfast but a friend who also stayed said it was good. I will say that the room we were allocated really needs a refurb but it is not a moan, just stating the obvious, I would 110% return when in the area again.
