Been to Mallories a few times now and always enjoyed the experience. Would have gave 5 stars for this visit but for a few little disappointments. We went for Sunday lunch this time, upon getting there we were told that they had ran out of lamb, not the end of the world but two of our party were looking forward to having that dish. We gave a drinks order one of which we asked for no ice, it came with ice, again not the end of the world but disappointed. When the drinks came the lady served two of them by holding the top of the glass rim, I’m afraid it’s a pet hate of mine. I had the beef which came with a £3 supplement, it was a cut which came from a steak portion, I would have preferred it carved from a beef joint but I must say what I had was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The service was good, not intrusive but there when needed. We all love the ambiance and decor coupled with the country farmhouse appeal of the building itself. Would we go again, absolutely.
