We went to brunch at the restaurant (we had reserved and paid in advance), when we arrived our reservation was not there, we were asked several times for confirmation of our payment (most people did not speak French and lacked professionalism ). Very disappointed for such a famous hotel... The prices do not match the quality of the services!!!

I'll be brief, room scheduled for 11:30 a.m., we were able to get it until 5:15 p.m., the cleaning lady was still there. 1h15 for us to have our suitcases brought up and our swimsuits taken out to go to the SPA instead of waiting for the room. View of the works and the Caprice festival tent (no warning about noise/nuisance) Nothing slept all night because of the festival until 5:30 a.m. and resumed at 10 a.m. No service, room door that didn't close, asked for them to look but no, the door remained open. Planned by email for us to load our car, of course 1 hour before leaving I asked where it was, it wasn't done. At the end, the receptionist asks us if everything went well, we say not too much, she replies “ok” 😅 Basically you ask something no one ever knows, everyone passes the buck, no one does what what he says they are going to do, in short… We have been to lots of 5 star hotels and we have never found anything to complain about, it is very disappointing to say the least…. Pool not warm inside, SPA not very big. Apparently an application is explained to travelers, they are not aware of meal times or where you can have breakfast. In short, avoid it, it's never worth the 5 stars. Too bad because the hotel is very, very beautiful. Beautiful Byakko and the perfect meal.

This was our first visit to a Six Senses Property. I am not certain we will return. Positive features: 1. The room was stunning and the facilities (spa, fitness center, etc.) are top notch. 2. Dinner at Byakko our first night was lovely. Issues during our stay: We used the six senses app for most communication. This was generally good but things were challenging on our last day. 1. We went to the outdoor pool in the afternoon but no one came to bring towels or check on us. 2. We went to dinner and were surprised no one turned down the room despite having the housekeeping sign on. 3. We asked for a ride home after dinner but got no response and ended up walking back. None of these issues are dealbreakers but at this price point I do not expect issues.

I live in the city and was a very regular customer (almost every day of the week) at six senses’ Ora bar, Wild cabin restaurant and Byakko restaurant. At first my friends and I were very pleased with the service, however, with time the staff became extremely rude and disregarding. There have been multiple situations after which our desire to come to Six Senses has completely disappeared. For example, I arrived with my friends and we had some younger people with us, we asked them to get a table at Wild Cabin for dinner while we use the restroom and they got told the restaurant was full. However, another friend of mine called the restaurant and asked for a booking, to which they said there is availability. We were told multiple times that we will ‘not be served’ or ‘have access to the hotel’ if we are seen using electronic cigarettes- when we weren’t the ones smoking. Additionally, after we decided to give the Wild Cabin restaurant another chance, we were disappointed once again. The waiters were rude to our face as behind our backs- pointing fingers and whispering. Overall our experience in Six Senses Crans Montana went from being great to absolutely horrible. We felt unwelcome and mocked.

Crans-Montana is a resort that I have known for over 50 years. I have stayed several times in Chetzeron which I love. This time, I decided to try this new establishment for 3 nights which is located in Crans, above the Cry d'Err ski lift parking lot. Access by car is via the Plan-Mayens road. (Google map has not yet corrected) The entrance to the hotel is through a tunnel worthy of a James Bond film. Everything is quite dark but it seems that this is the intention of the architect. The further you go into the hotel, the clearer this becomes. The welcome is given by the valet, sorry, a bell-boy, yes, because here, everyone speaks English and everywhere in the hotel, you are received in this language! Then, after check-in, you will be shown around the hotel. This is essential because it is on several levels and you almost need a plan to find your way around. My room (303) was large and had everything you needed. The bathroom is a good size, with bath and shower. There are enough cupboards, which is rare these days and a place large enough to put your suitcase (even rarer) All the materials are of high quality. The beautiful terrace is equipped with a large sofa and a table and chairs. Little touches are placed on the bed during the evening service. Everything is perfect! There is still one negative point, the orientation of the hotel does not allow an optimal view of the mountains. (At least from my room, number 303) From the bed, you can see the skiers passing by, so be careful to cover yourself when getting out of bed or the bathroom! Unfortunately, I was not able to try the Japanese restaurant which is open, when it is not closed… The cuisine of the “Wild Cabin” brasserie is varied and of good quality. Prices are in line with those of the hotel. Be careful with the wine service..., this Monday evening, I had to wait a long time for someone to reserve me. Apart from this detail, which is not one, the service is efficient and friendly. I was able to test both swimming pools. The exterior is sufficiently heated to enjoy it this season. The decoration of the indoor pool is beautiful but a little dark. In addition, the many poorly behaved children splashing around in the pool made so much noise that I only stayed there for barely 15 minutes. Last point, a little less impressive, is the pedestrian access to and from the station. You exit through the same entrance as the cars, not really inviting, and going down the road, which is lit, you have to cross the Cry d'Err car park, worthy of a building from the Soviet era. I like to think it will get better. Apart from these small faults, it is a nice establishment where you should stay at least once. A real 5 star was missing in this resort. PS: I gave it 4/5 but it deserves 4.5

No one speaks French in this hotel, there is noise all day but also at night. Super loud music in the restaurant at lunchtime until 6 p.m. and in the evening it starts again with the Japanese restaurants super loud music that can be heard throughout the hotel until 2 a.m. Great for resting and recharging your batteries And I was able to speak with employees who told me that the management did not give them tips

This is a new build that just opened in March. It is in a very convenient location next to a ski run/bike road (so it is ski-in ski-out and bike-in bike-out). It is also just above and an easy walk to the Cry d’Er Gondola and Crans. It appears (I don’t know) that there were design challenges fitting it into its location, which may account for some of the comments below. The facilities are obviously quite new and modern. The lobby, restaurants, and rooms are open and airy - very modern combined with mountain traditional and outdoor themes. The rooms are large, comfortable and well-equipped. The bathroom is large (although the tub being in the center looks cool it is a bit in the way). Our room (and the rooms on our side of the hotel over a number of floors) have large terraces and full window walls. The views aren’t great, though - overlooking the ski run/gravel road and the side of a hill. It appears for a view you need to stay in one of the residences (there is a rental program) or perhaps a suite on the top floors. The staff is outstanding (though they seem a bit inexperienced, as to be expected for a new hotel). They were very friendly and helpful all through the hotel. The Guest experience Manager (GEM) greeted us upon arrival and helped with any arrangements. The activity staff (downstairs at the ski/bike area) were incredibly helpful in discussing activities and directing us how to get where we wanted to go (such as the easy access from the hotel to the Bisse du Ro hiking trail - an absolute must-do). The hotel provides lift ticket cards at a much lower cost than the ticket window rack rate, which is very convenient. The spa staff was excellent, including the massage therapists The spa facilities are huge, with an indoor/outdoor pool, relaxation areas, a variety of saunas, steam, etc., both coed as well as individual ones in each of the locker rooms. The indoor/outdoor pool is integral to the spa facilities ; the only drawback is that it is below grade so the outdoor potion of the pool is only semi-outdoor (there are no views - if you are looking for a great view of the mountains ala Hotel Mont Blanc in Chamonix, you will be sorely disappointed). There is a separate outdoor pool on the 5th (lobby) floor which is not connected to the spa. It’s location seems a bit odd other than that may have been the only place they could put it. There is free transportation to he Violette gondola in Montana, from where you can ride to the base of the tram to the top and to the glacier. From Violette there is also a free bus to reach the Bisse du Tsittoret trailhead - another great hike with waterfalls (the free bus runs all through Crans-Montana, to the Cry d’Er as well). Be warned - there is no AC (in the interest of sustainability I guess) or other air circulation system (or ceiling fan) and it was in the mid to high 80’s while we were there. The room was very hot (the window walls which face west didn’t help) and sleeping was very difficult. W

The place is great and has an amazing view. The staff were great and accommodating. And the services they provide were good as well. It’s a great place to get away from the busy cities and they are very environmentally conscious. However, I think the best time to visit will be during the winter season.
