Lovely little hotel - ideal location for those who want to get an early start when visiting Leshan Great Buddha to beat the massive noisy tour groups and resulting queues (which I would strongly recommend), just a stone’s throw from the ticket office. Service was great and whole place had a lovely calming vibe. Two minor quibbles (1) breakfast starts at 8, but park opens at 7:30, no ideal if want to eat before you go out (2) the whole place echoes and has quite poor sound insulation, so earplugs are strongly recommended for light sleepers. Aside from these two points, I think this is a great choice for anyone looking to spend a night in Leshan, rather than doing as a day trip from Chengdu. Was able to do both the hike up and boat tours before 12, before the hordes arrives, have a quick shower back at the hotel, and then catch the train back to Chengdu by early afternoon! Definitely best way to do it, and this is the perfect base.

A very satisfying stay. The environment is quiet and Zen-like everywhere. You must try the special noodles for breakfast, and I also gave you a small gift. PS: The little parrot at the front desk is particularly cute.
