Barry and Ann were the perfect hosts during my stay, really comfortable bed and the best breakfast ever. Thornsgill House is right in the centre of Askrigg and (very) conveniently situated for the Crown public house, walks and visits. Also open over Christmas! Thanks to Barry and Ann for a lovely stay.

Absolutely first class, wonderful room, bathroom, facilities, breakfast, owners, views, location and everything! Highly recommended. They were happy for us to leave our bags there in the morning whilst we went out walking and we were able to access our room before the usual check in time. There was also a lovely outside seating area at the front.

Had a lovely stay with Barry & Anne, nothing was too much trouble, we were able to sit outside on the evenings after our walk to share a bottle of wine and cheese & biscuits.Anne gave us knifes and plates to help it more enjoyable. Rooms where very comfortable and the beautiful cooked breakfast was delicious. Will certainly return.

We stayed for a two night break. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Barry and Ann who really do have exceptional hosting skills. Our room (no.2) was very spacious and, more importantly, spotlessly clean. There was a well stocked hospitality tray with fresh milk provided. The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything about breakfast was good. Muesli - excellent. Boiled eggs - excellent. Full English - excellent. Lots of choice of cereals, yogurt, fruits etc. with cooked options pre-ordered the evening before. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend without hesitation. We will return!

This was our third visit to Thornsgill House, and was just as amazing as the previous times. Its location at Askrigg--in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park--is the perfect base to discover the stunning countryside of this area. Not only that, our hosts--Ann and Barry--always make our stay at Thornsgill House truly enjoyable, and like a home away from home. They make it a perfect stay for us. We thoroughly recommend Thornsgill House!

Had a 1 night stay here, the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The guestrooms were extremely good quality, the breakfasts were great. We could not fault anything about the place and is very handy for local walks in beautiful countryside. Very highly recommended

Barry & Anne provide great friendly service to make you feel at home and relaxed. The accommodation is clean and very well presented. Parking was right outside the entrance. They gave us a great breakfast and good ideas on walks if you are looking for inspiration. We have had 2 stays and would highly recommend this lovely B&B

Deze B&B is gelegen in het rustige dorpje Askrigg en vrij centraal gelegen maar in een rustige straat. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars alhoewel die dag de eerste toespraak werd gehouden door King Charles maakten zij toch tijd vrij om ons de nodige uitleg te geven. Wij verbleven hier 2 dagen en hadden een mooie ruime kamer met veel opbergruimte. Het bed was prima met uitstekende matrassen dus een goede nachtrust verzekerd. De badkamer is voorzien van een goede douche en voldoende ruimte in de badkamer zelfs badjassen zijn voorzien in de kamer. Je moet 's avonds een keuze invullen voor het ontbijt 's morgens. Er is ruim voldoende keuze voor iedereen. Het ontbijt is lekker en wordt warm opgediend. Goede kwaliteit en goed verblijf.
