The listing said the hotel had a restaurant. It doesn't, it has one next door which doesn't open until 9am, which was too late for us to have breakfast. This was a problem. The staff were very nice and helpful and found me a bottle opener when I asked. The room was comfortable, bathroom was a bit outdated and worn but v clean and the cost was very reasonable so I was very happy with it. Only other issue was that there was only one plug socket and it was above the built-in table and was so close to the table that I couldn't plug in my phone charger, which was a problem as I needed to charge my phone to use it as a sat-nav for a 6-hour drive the next day. Also, would be nice to have a plug socket near the bed.

This hotel is a bit run down and shabby but it served it's purpose as a bed for the night, which thankfully was very comfortable. What was not so good was the hideously noisy fan in the bathroom, taps with dodgy valves that suddenly burst and soaked my trousers, a borken thermostat and lights above the dresser that could not be turned off. I hunted everywhere and tried everyt switch but had to sleep with the light on. When I checked in at 2pm I was met with a n ipression of walking into a furnace, The room stat was registering 30c and it felt it. There was a big cross on it in marker pen and it could not be adjusted so I just turned off the electric radiator and opened the window. When I returned at midnight it was down to a more respectable 20c. I did enjoy the decent size flat screen TV (I expected an old CRT) for a short period befor I retired. In need of knocking down and starting again but for one night it was fine if a little overpriced at £60. I didn't report my problems to the receptionist due to lethargy and time contrainsts as well as my short stay.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at purple rooms in Banbury Bridge. This hotel is excellent. I got put in this hotel because I am homeless at the moment and I am disabled in a wheelchair I have no leg the room is showing to me and it will suitable. It was very clean. The bedding was very clean. It had tea and coffee, TV kettle nice clean towels. The room was clean every day even if it didn’t need it to clean it or so friendly they could not do enough for you always asked if I was okay and how my day was the cleaning team who was Betty jasmin Lilly and Ewan Reception, Jack Amanaa Tracy what’s very friendly and we’ll go out of their way to make sure everything I needed was there you could approach at any time of the day, even though the shift changes the standards did not slip if purple rooms have stuff like this in every hotel, then purple room will go far in hospitalityeven though I’m homeless they still made me very welcome. I just want to say a big thank you to the team and hope this will get back to purple rooms and management from the top should read this and give them a pass on the back for good work.

I was dubious about my stay because when I mentioned where I was staying to the people at the company I was visiting they all looked horrified and suggested I was making some sort of terrible mistake. But to be honest there was not much difference to some of the premier inns I have stayed in. And it was all absolutely fine. Only thing that needs sorting out is the fact the attached pub doesn’t start breakfast until 9:00 am which is useless for business travellers.

It’s a ex premier inn. Staff are great it’s clean warm free parking and a good pub on site on very reasonably priced.

Ideal spot for our overnight stop off between York and Blackpool. This is clearly a repurposed Premier Inn and yes it is a little dated. Beyond that, comfy bed, great shower and a warm welcome, what’s no to love!

Great location for the motorway link nearby and easy walking distance into Bamber Bridge. Received a warm welcome and the hotel is everything that you would expect from a Premier Inn. No hesitation in recommending and pleased it is on my radar!
