In addition to the small facade and easy to walk through, the room facilities are comparable to those in the hotel: there are separate toilets, hair dryers, humidifiers, heating blankets, bath heaters, etc. in the multi-person room. There is a catering and tourism department on the first floor, and you can participate in the surrounding 1-3 day tour.

The hotel is also about one kilometer away from the Potala Palace, and the location is quiet in the bustling city. The room is nice, and the bedding is comfortable, but the shower room leaks and the air conditioning is not cooling well. The hotel service is still good, and if there is a problem, it will be solved in time. My family said that the breakfast is very simple, and there is not much to eat for many people. I didn't eat for one day during the 3-day stay.

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.
