Easy to find as is the tallest building in the town. The hotel has two parts to it- the International main building and a smaller 'local' style Which is where is stayed. Really lovely setting Just wasn't too impressed by the room Which had obviously seen better days. Pool on roof with a great view was a nice touch and breakfast had me set off for my journey in a good mood. Would come again, Just Hope for a better room. PS: Collins at reception speaks English Really well and has been working at the hotel since it was built twenty years ago and is a great Welcome host

The reception service staff is very good. The hotel is very convenient to travel. When I went to stay on the first day, I encountered loud noises all night and stayed on the top floor. But in the morning I came down to change to a new room and considered the service to be good.

Pick-up at the airport/station: The hotel contacted the car to pick up at the station, which was very convenient Environment: Very good, very quiet to stay; there are many restaurants around, delicious and not expensive; close to the ancient city, just a short walk away; the hotel breakfast is rich and delicious! Service: The hotel service is very good, especially the front desk lady Wu, who helped contact the pick-up car, reserved a Naxi twin room with a balcony, helped sign for the oxygen cylinder express that arrived one day in advance, and recommended the Jinjia market for buying fruits, which is so cheap! Remind us of dietary precautions for outsiders. Well, it's worth praising. Health: The room is very clean and tidy, with complete facilities. Recommend everyone to stay!

There are two options for breakfast, you can go to Indigo for a la carte, or you can go to InterContinental for a buffet. Because I stayed for two nights, I ate a la carte at Indigo on the first day, and ate at InterContinental on the second day. I could see the snow-capped mountains and the beautiful scenery! The most worth mentioning is that although the Intercontinental Time Bar is just a lobby bar, open from morning to night, they can make great classic cocktails, drink in front of the snow-capped mountains, and chat with interesting people, which is very happy. Manager Will is very professional and the whole experience is great. There is one detail that I will never forget. When Will was making wine for us, three foreigners suddenly came in and quickly gave them orders because he was making wine for us and Feng was making coffee. I was a little worried. Will encouraged him, saying that as long as we follow the training standards, the customers will be very satisfied. We must believe in ourselves. If we don’t do well, we can ask the customers to ask us to do it again. At this time, the employees started to make their coffee with confidence, and After a while, another foreigner came. Will looked up and saw it, and asked A Feng, the fourth customer is here, have you ordered? Afeng said the guests didn't want them, but Will said they were willing to come, take good care of them and pour a glass of water. Afeng said that he would pour water for all four of them, and Will said that your service is really good. Although it is a small thing, you can see the harmony and tacit understanding of this team, as well as the high degree of family and country feelings and atmosphere. So far this is the Atour I liked the least. The room was alright but the toilet had a cigarette smell. The breakfast was my least favorite out of all the hotels I’ve been to in China. As for the good stuff, the hotel is across the street from the Ancient City west entrance (big water wheel), the 101 bus stop to/from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is across the street as well. The Dragon Pool is very close by too. Location wise, it’s probably the best you can get.

We have a wonderful time at Liqiang and Hampton by Hilton was situated slightly away from the Ancient city but it’s a nice walk over there in the evening. After spending time at the ancient city, we could take a taxi back and it’s very convenient. The room is clean and spacious and what impressed us is the hospitality of the front desk personnel. A special call out to Lisa who helped checked us in efficiently and referred us to the lady who helped arranged our trip to the Jade Dragon Snow mountain and the Liqiang Impression performance. Otherwise, we would not be able to secure the tickets and had a seamless pickup, tour and return arrangement. Lisa also quickly offered a competitive room rate when we mentioned that we wanted to extend our stay. We are grateful for that. We also want to call out the wonderful service extended by the front desk manager, Linda who personally delivered a fruit platter to our room and checked whether everything was as expected. We can only say the service is exceptional and we decided to stay another night at Liqiang on our return trip from Shangri La. Linda helped arrange everything despite the late notice from us. Thank you very much for making our stay enjoyable. Will definitely recommend our friends and in fact when we return to Kunming, we may stay at the chain again. This stay has left us with a such pleasant experience.
