"A wonderful stay that we won’t forget… feels like home away from home, made us want to go back to Lijiang. My daughter and I loved the view of Yulong mountain from our very cosy and comfortable room, the 2 dogs and a cat who were so loving and playful, the warmest & most hospitable staff, the evening tea ceremony that made us sleep well and the delicious breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay and will recommend this hotel to our family and friends! Thank you, Nazhu team!"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The room was beautiful, stylish, and incredibly clean. The location is perfect, as it’s very close to Lijiang Old Town. What made our trip truly special was our host, Ah Fei. He went above and beyond for us, starting from picking us up at the train station. He helped us arrange our Jade Dragon Snow Mountain tour and gave us excellent advice on how to navigate and enjoy Lijiang like a local. No matter how small the request, he was always there to help with a smile. Thank you so much, Ah Fei, for the warmest welcome in Lijiang. Highly recommended!"

"This guesthouse in Lijiang truly exceeded our expectations! Its location is superb, right inside the ancient town but surprisingly quiet. You can easily walk to all the attractions and food streets, making getting around incredibly convenient. The owner and staff are super welcoming and provide excellent service. As soon as we arrived, they gave us detailed information about Lijiang's sights, travel tips, and helped us solve many issues. The most useful advice was about snagging tickets for the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain cable car. The owner is incredibly experienced and guided us on which network to use, how to submit orders quickly, and even tested our internet speed. Thanks to their help, we successfully secured cable car tickets, so we didn't have to worry about missing out on seeing the snow mountain up close! They also helped us book tickets for the Lijiang Impression Show at a better price than buying them ourselves, and we even got great seats. The Lijiang Impression Show was absolutely spectacular and definitely worth every penny. Furthermore, the guesthouse's Puer tea DIY making experience was incredibly fun. The master was very professional and patiently guided us through each step. We got to take the finished tea cakes home, which makes for a great souvenir. The rooms are uniquely decorated, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped – a truly pleasant stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lijiang!"

"I’ve rarely ever felt so welcomed by hotel staff as during my stay at Mulanyu Tangsu Hotel. From being offered freshly brewed Yunnan tea upon arrival, to booking attraction tickets through WeChat for you, and even pouring out a local fruit wine in the evening the 老板(s) really seem to care and it shows! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Lijiang old town, yet secluded enough to be quiet. Only finding the place can be a bit of a struggle. Regarding the room I can’t fairly assess the price/value because I got a free upgrade. That being said, the room I got upgraded to was fantastic with all the amenities you could wish for. Due to how communal the place feels in the evenings, I also met a number of other travellers that I connected with. So if you are a solo traveller looking to spend an evening with company, this is yet another reason to come here :)"

"The room was quiet, clean, and tidy. Cars can't enter Lijiang Ancient Town, but the hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. Taxis can drop you off right near the entrance. You can even get a panoramic view of the entire Lijiang Ancient Town from the second floor! The owner was really nice and welcoming, sharing lots of tips to avoid tourist traps and even helping us plan our itinerary. It was great!"

"This is a perfect place to stay in Old Town Lijiang. It had the best view of the old town rooftops and the mountains. The rooms were modern, beautiful, and cozy. We went with two other couples and each couple enjoyed their room design. The staff communicated with us in advance about any needs we had. They helped carry our luggage to the hotel from the car drop-off point and helped arrange it when we left. The breakfast noodles were delicious. Look no further ... this is the hotel to stay in."

"The inn's location is excellent, right near the North Gate, just a few dozen meters from Lijiang Square. It's also a convenient pick-up point for direct buses to Dali and Shangri-La. Getting a taxi is easy too; you can hail one right at the intersection. The staff who welcomed us contacted us in advance. Knowing we were arriving soon, he even came to the intersection beforehand to help us with our luggage. After checking in, he carried our bags all the way to our room, which was incredibly thoughtful. Whether we were heading out to explore the Old Town or coming back, he always greeted us warmly. The entire experience was very attentive and heartwarming. I genuinely recommend this place to everyone!"

"If a business wants customers to give them an exceptional review, they need to provide exceptional service! You get what you give. How can you even ask for a five-star review when you can't even manage a simple upgrade? Is it because all your hotel facilities are outdated? Is it because the floor heating in the bathroom doesn't work and the drain doesn't drain properly? Is it because there are cobwebs in your room? Is it because all the lounge chairs in your courtyard are broken? Think hard about why your hotel, despite having a good location and large rooms, can't command a higher price. It's not about just doing what you're supposed to do to earn a good review; you need to provide service that exceeds customer expectations to get one! Proactive service isn't just talk, it requires action."

"I was initially debating whether to stay at the more convenient South Gate of the Old Town or in the city to soak in the atmosphere. I really have to commend the owner; it was a rare, non-scamming experience in Lijiang, haha! We arrived very early, and they first made a great effort to upgrade our room type. Then, they helped us store our luggage and refrigerate our fruit when we checked out. I especially want to praise the environment. I spent some time sunbathing on the balcony in the afternoon, listening to the songs drifting up from downstairs – it was pure bliss. This is exactly the Lijiang I imagined!"
