"Room
Clean bed space with curtain for privacy. In the space you get plug sockets, lights and shelves. Room door has a lock. I don't think I saw an air con but it wasn't too hot so not an issue during my stay (i'm sure if you asked they might be able to help). This is not a criticism but a suggestion to make it even better - hooks at the end of the bed to hang stuff would be very useful. Pretty thin mattress as seems common in Chinese hostels, but probably one of the comfier sleeps I've had. forgot to take pictures of the room but it is just standard kind of capsule hostel type set up
Bathroom
Nice and clean. A few bathrooms each with a shower, squat toilet, sink and hair dryer. As per the online description, there are no toiletries. Around the corner it also appears you may be able to do your washing here but not too sure.
Location
Very close to the ancient town but also close to the residential area if you want to see that side as well. Make sure you're on the right side of the fence when you walk down haha. Around 40mins from train station by bus, not too bad (its easiest if you get the tourist bus)
Host
Seems great for Chinese visitors, maybe a little awkward for international visitors due to language barrier, but you get what you make of the situation. Seems to be a BBQ in the evening. They were kind and let me leave my luggage before I checked in and after I checked out (awkward train times)"

Guest UserRead Lijiang's slow time in Man'an. Hidden in the quiet villa area, the green tile wooden house is full of flowers and grass fish ponds, and the door of the courtyard is instantly isolated from the noise. The rooms are well lit, the logs are softly decorated and elegant, and the floor heating is available 24/7. In my spare time, I will make tea in the tea room to bask in the sun. The boss is warm and thoughtful. He will also remind me of travel tips. The breakfast materials are real, quiet and comfortable. I will stay in Lijiang next time.

Facilities: A very retro and unique shop, I think artsy types would love to stay here, it's very comfortable. There's a swing, but the shower area is outdoors, which is slightly inconvenient. The toilets and bathrooms have ambient lighting. There are also many different types of books to read.
Hygiene: Clean and tidy, the toilets are sit-down toilets, but alcohol wipes are provided.
Alcohol spray and laundry detergent are available, but you need to bring your own toothbrush and towel.
Environment: Located near Shuhe Ancient Town, the scenery is beautiful, and there are many cats and plants in the shop.
Service: It's okay, there are no computers in the shop, so if you need to transfer photos, it's recommended to bring your own computer or phone adapter.
The soundproofing is poor; you can often hear conversations in the courtyard at 7 am and 11 pm. Also, the cats are currently in their estrus cycle and often howl at night. There are no earplugs, so people with poor sleep quality should bring their own.

Everything very good. Quiet location 5min walker from south gate of ancient town. Manager extremely helpful.
Nice traditional breakfast. Recommended.
If you go up snow mountain using a local tour they will stop on way to buy oxygen cans & ”medicine”, very expensive but they persuasive. Just buy a can or 2 & a snickers bar at local shop & save yourself 200 yuan.
The village is amazing, especially the west side at early evening when empty.

Thank you so much, Sister Bing. We couldn't book a room for another day, but Sister Bing was so nice to accommodate me and my friend. My friend and I went to bed late, so I hope we didn't disturb Sister Bing during our stay. Every time we came back, the owner would greet us and say ”I'm back”, which was like going home. I highly recommend it to friends in Lugu Lake, you won't be disappointed! There is also a very cute cat named Big Bear.

ZiyoulvxingdesensenI highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers visiting Lijiang. If you're too tired to trek to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for sunrise, you can climb a ladder from the balcony to the rooftop in the morning to catch the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” – no need to go all the way there and back, haha! It's super close to the Old Town, less than 1 km away, so it's perfect for an evening stroll. If you have some free time, you can also head to Black Dragon Pool for another stunning view of the sunrise on the mountain. This hostel feels like it's the closest one to Black Dragon Pool Park, which is free and gets quite busy in the mornings. The hostel owner is a great guy; he's always ready to help with any requests. You'll often see him cleaning rooms and tidying the courtyard during the day – he's really meticulous about cleanliness. The balcony is huge, perfect for sunbathing. I noticed all the sheets and duvet covers were drying, so each bed definitely gets fresh linens 😂. I had such a good stay that I extended for several days. I'll definitely be back next time!

Guest UserLoved my stay here! It had a very friendly, family vibe. Was mostly Chinese except for a Belgian guy but they made me feel very welcome and took me out for bbq one night. Then the next day we went out to a village in the mountains for another bbq lol. Ended up staying a couple extra days in Lijiang just because I enjoyed staying at this hostel. Would recommend!

Cozy hostel right in the middle of Baisha town. There was lots of information at the front desk about activities in mandarin (I couldn't read it) but the staff were able to help direct me via translator. Beds also had heating pads which made all the difference in the winter!! The only problem was the door to the girls dorm I stayed in had trouble closing which led to a lot of middle of the night slamming, or it being left open and the cold air gets in :/

Guest UserThe location is very good if you are travelling by bus to Lijiang. You'll be walking distance away from the Ancient Town and the bus station. I left my small backpack there for a week and it was very convenient as I was going hiking. If you leave your luggage there, it's free but it's in the common space. Rooms are quite small so you keep your suitcase/big backpack outside. 4 bathrooms available. Quality corresponds to the price :) Thank you for a nice stay!

The room is clean and hygienic. It's my first time in a youth hostel. The atmosphere is great. The owners are very enthusiastic. There are shared dining activities at noon and in the evening. The taste is also very good. There are many people and it's lively. Many people come here to travel alone. They have a lot of fun here. If you come alone to travel, you can't go wrong staying at TravelJi Youth Hostel!

I came here with my friend's family and booked two rooms on the first night. The next day, my friend and his family went back, and we continued to stay here. Because it is the peak tourist season, prices are slowly increasing now. When we extended our stay the next day, the aunt calculated the original price for us! The lady boss is very nice!
