GGuest UserService: The service at White House was the best I experienced on my Yunnan trip, even better than Hyatt's meticulous and attentive service.
They offer free laundry and drying, and breakfast can be delivered to your room. There are also complimentary evening drinks. Whenever you leave, they ask where you're going and offer free taxi service (to the three ancient towns). Upon check-in, each room receives a thoughtful gift box containing items like face masks, contact lens solution, glasses cases, and breath freshener. I hope the owner can upgrade the quality of these gifts; with such excellent service, I'd love to see the hotel's overall quality improve further.
Environment: Every room faces Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly, offering an excellent viewing experience.
Facilities: I tried two room types this time. The ventilation system in this particular room type wasn't great. Since it's above the cafe, there was a strong smell when I opened the bathroom and room doors. This seems like a construction issue that's hard to change later. Both room types I stayed in had poor soundproofing. Early in the morning, I could hear people chattering by the lake downstairs, taking photos of the snow mountain, and in the hallway, I could hear doors closing, people walking, and talking from other rooms.
Hygine: During my stay, one bath towel was dirty, but the service staff replaced it immediately.
Overall, this hotel is quite good. However, the price I paid for the first night on the platform was over 1900, and for that price, the quality felt insufficient. At their regular prices, these issues would be less significant. I sincerely hope the hotel's business thrives. Many things require time and refinement. While the hard facilities can't be changed, there's still room for improvement in the soft facilities.

GGuest UserThis hotel made up 90% of my wonderful Lijiang trip – it was incredibly comfortable and the service was so thoughtful. The excellent service started right from booking; the owner added me on WeChat to ask about my arrival time and if I needed a pick-up, always replying instantly. They even helped with my luggage! The hotel is halfway up the mountain, offering stunning views of Lijiang Old Town. Whenever I wanted to go out, they'd drive me to the old town entrance, making it super convenient – a quiet escape yet close to everything. Plus, food delivery comes right to your room. The daily afternoon tea, coffee, and regular tea were all delicious, and the mini cakes and cookies were also high quality. There are 3 cats to pet, and a huge, super clear projector that was so comfy it made me not want to leave the room, haha.
⭐️ **Amenities:** It has an elevator! Floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious and bright room, with sunlight streaming in – super comfortable! There's underfloor heating, powerful air conditioning, and a humidifier. The furniture is solid and high-quality, and the bed is just the right softness with comfortable linens.
⭐️ **Hygiene:** Daily cleaning, disposable slippers in sterilized packaging, soft and clean towels, separate toilet and shower areas, and a bathtub – extremely clean!
⭐️ **Service:** Absolutely amazing, they catered to every request! They provided sightseeing tips and routes with location pins, no pushy sales, and were as warm and attentive as a good friend! Unlimited complimentary bottled water, they'd offer water and an umbrella when I left, and fresh flower cakes when I returned – they looked after me so well!
We will definitely be back.

LLixiaoyaoiiiThe rooms and public areas of this B&B are spotless, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They proactively assist guests with various issues, like guiding them through ticket bookings and helping with parking directions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.
In stark contrast, the public lobby at the nearby Mushanxue B&B was dirty and messy. The staff there were even playing games while talking to guests, a huge difference in service quality. Just putting this out there for other travelers to avoid a bad experience.

GGuest UserWe had the most delightful stay at Wanchuanxu Hotel in Lijiang's Baisha Ancient Town!
The hotel boasts an excellent location and a fantastic design overall, with different rooms offering varying snow mountain views. My child was absolutely thrilled to see the snow-capped mountains through the large window in our room; we didn't even have to leave to enjoy the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' phenomenon.
The hotel is right at the entrance of Baisha Ancient Town, making it super convenient for dining and relaxation with just a few minutes' walk. It's also only about a 10-minute drive from the new Yulong Snow Mountain Tourist Service Center, making access to the mountain by the scenic train incredibly easy.
Before our arrival, the hotel butler created a chat group to communicate every service detail, showing great enthusiasm and meticulousness. Unlike other hotels that might offer a welcome fruit platter, they provided exquisite afternoon tea, a shoulder and neck spa, and a sweet soup every evening after we checked in.
The hotel's facilities really stood out: a Moen digital shower (easy to select showerheads, accurate temperature setting – the best I've encountered in any hotel), a Dyson hairdryer, a TOTO smart toilet, and a Marshall speaker.
From the comfortable rooms to the attentive service, every detail made us feel incredibly warm and welcome. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers seeking quality; it's definitely a five-star vacation choice!

GGuest UserThe room wasn't huge, but the overall cleanliness and service were excellent. We got a free upgrade to a room with a great view of the wilderness. The hotel also offers a lot of fun activities; in the mornings, you can watch the sunrise over the golden peaks from the large lawn, and in the evenings, there's bonfire dancing and fireworks. You can also go hiking, which is a great way to avoid the holiday crowds. Overall, a fantastic experience!

SSm00shyI’m penning this review as I sit at the patio, gazing at this magnificent view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain that has held me in rapture from the moment I arrived.
This is my first solo trip to China and I had been anxious about the language barrier as my mandarin is not great. I had also chosen this hotel for my first stay of this trip here to decompress and unwind.
These past two days, I have been blown away such warm, kind and welcoming hospitality that I wish I’d more time to linger. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
The hotel offers a wide array of activities, which are great for acclimating to the high altitude and to just slow down. I greatly enjoyed star gazing session at night and discovering the cafe/bar which offers coffee roasting workshops and locally produced Naxi alcohol.
My stay here has been perfect and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking respite from the burdens of modern life.

XXianggenichengnannannanHow to put it, Banyan Tree holds a special place in my heart. Everything is generally good, and I've stayed there before. However, the facilities are just so inconvenient, and they haven't been updated even in this day and age. Before going to bed, I had to search everywhere for the light switch. In the middle of the night, if I wanted to turn on the light, I couldn't find the switch anywhere – they were all so far away! If I wanted to turn off the light after lying down, I'd have to get up again. I couldn't even find the light switch in the minibar area before bed, so I had to sleep with the light on. When I woke up and wanted to lie in bed to admire the snow-capped mountains, I had to get up to open the curtains (or rather, the door panels). Entering the main gate was a struggle; the villa's main gate is so old and worn out it's hard to open! And that surround around the bed is so anti-human. Should I step on it or not when getting into bed? If I don't step on it, it's a bit of a reach to get in. But if I do step on it, surely many people have stepped on it, and you can't wash fabric coverings after every guest, right? With these surrounds all around the bed, I couldn't even sit on the edge of the bed! Plus, the staff weren't very proficient; it took half an hour for check-in (and I was the only guest). Although the price has dropped, it's still over 2000 [yuan]. Honestly, being in the room felt like one word: tiring. It felt like I was constantly circling the room, looking for this and that… I'd take off my clothes and not know where to put them, and then the next day I'd have to remember where I put them.

GGuest UserThe room facing the street was quite quiet, which was nice. The front desk has a coffee machine, and you can ask the staff to prepare drinks for you as needed.
The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and proactively offered us travel advice. Parking allows one exit within a 24-hour period, so plan your outings accordingly.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Old Town Windmill, maybe because I walk a bit slowly, but it's definitely not just a few minutes away.
The room is equipped with smart home features, and the quality of items like tissues is quite good, showing that the owner has high standards for the amenities provided.

TTheng ThengWe booked a suite, and it looked exactly like the photos which is great, opulent in fact. For the price we paid it is incredible value really. The hotel seemed empty and could have done so much better. It definitely has issues: 1. Its location on Trip.com is wrong, even the name differs. Taxi/Didi will drop you at Shuhe South Gate 200m away. 2. Check in time says 1:30pm on Trip.com but on arrival they ask you to come back at 2pm, no welcome, no acknowledgment of how many bags you want to leave in their care, they will ignore you until 2pm. 3. One male staff was unbelievably rude, he came to the reception when we wanted to check in at 1:30pm and “Oi!!!” loudly at us like he was yelling at a dog. In all our lives we never had such greetings. Our reaction must have told him, he was quiet after and quickly checked us in. 4. Lacking in details: a few umbrellas at reception would be nice in Yunnan’s rain, there was a kettle in the room but no coffee or tea bags (Yunnan is famous for both). No bathmat either but a yellow sign “Caution Wet Floor”, no soap at the basin, nothing. Shower was weak and tepid even at hottest level. 5. Breakfast was poor in a dining room with leaking roof. It felt like the hotel is running on empty, and few skeleton staff.
On the PLUS side: great location in Shuhe Ancient Town, very spacious suite, super comfortable king bed, hotel does have a few super helpful staff who genuinely want to make it work, even apologized for the rude male staff.
